Haha… y’know, I was thinking the same!

Only saving grace is that 4RS was actually on ‘older’ tyres… so a few tenths in the bag still for that.

It’s going to be nip and tuck, mainly circuit and driver dependant rather than the particular benefit or features of the cars. Very close lap times just constructed in different ways.

What did I say ? smile

The GT4RS looked far less busy in the steering ... but I was surprised that the 992 GT3 didn't fare better ... maybe being over-driven ?

Really bad, nearly as bad as the banter in a hillclimb paddocksmile
The tyre control looked dire,if you are going to do a back to back competition make sure the tyres are all new at least.

Couple of interesting posts on the Spyder RS thread regarding the SRS from owners having covered 1350 miles and 500 miles the former also running a 4RS for comparison.

Reckons the SRS rides higher than the 4RS feels more floaty with more understeer too had geo done which transformed the car.

SRS has combined wheel (spring & damper) rates which are basically 718 Spyder rates. So not surprising its more compliant/less hard.

I found that 4RS was floaty (for my tastes) at factory ride height and so then to get the body control, when loading the chassis up, you needed to press the damper button (which has side effect of harsh ride on the road) or you need to lower the car a little (for the purpose of roll centres)

Ultimately like any GT car with adjustable chassis… these cars need a little bit if setup work to get them right for your intended use.

Ashgood have been bringing a lot of well priced Porsche to the market recently. Both 981 and 718 GT4s at strong pricing if you don't mind spec choice

Wonder if it was sold during winter and now up for sale again, as it had disappeared and I thought it had around 12K miles on previously (might be wrong in that one tho)?

Crazy, you’re a long time dead after all and who really wants to be a care home dribbling into your soup being thankful that you never put many miles on your GT4RS? I plan to run my new car in within 4/6 weeks inc some business journeys then drive it most days. Likely 6K miles a year.

Good. Now with the silly overs finished, hopefully enthusiasts can have these cars and drive em.
