All very quiet in here! Interested in the responses from the dealers by any who have enquired about trying to get one please? (I sent a spec through last week but haven’t heard anything yet).

I think dealers are waiting to here about allocation numbers before the bun fight, tears and tantrums!

Yup. Its a bit like being in a very long holding pattern. Dialogue has commenced, no other info forthcoming.
UK cars might be a very rare commodity. Perhaps I need to move to the USA.

Yes I want one , Yes on a bad day that roof would make me need a swear jar but as a swansong how could it be any better , sadly I enquired about a Cayman GT4RS and was politely declined and I do mean politely so I guess the same would happen here

Word on the street is that my OPC is getting 1 car, maybe 2 if they're lucky.

They're going to be rare birds in the UK by the sound of it.

You’d have thought they will keep building these for 18 months to 2 years? So surely you’d think more than 1 car every 9 months or so per dealer meaning less than 100 UK cars total.

Looking at Rennlist these guys think the numbers would be in the low thousands in the USA.

USA market is different remember, no EU emissions targets to worry about.

I'm just passing on what I've heard. My OPC has had 3 GT4RSs so far and they've been out for just over a year, plus one of those was a bonus car for someone who'd had issues with other Porsches that they'd bought. Their next car isn't due until late this year, so it'll be 4 cars in 18 months.

Given that regular Spyders are around 1 to every 3 or 4 regular GT4s, if the ratio continues for RS models then over a guesstimated 2 year run a couple of cars per UK OPC sounds about right?

Same path as usual - If you watch some of the other videos - AP says - yes we constrain supply heavily within the 1st MY on these types of cars and then turn up the taps. some of it is due to materials availability and also tuning the production line for the new model.

e.g in the US right now - there are 15 GT4RS on Porsche Approved, some have less than 100miles on them.

They are not limited/numbered directly - but there is a close link with fleet carbon emissions as well - which applies to us here at least.
I understand it needs equivalent of 3x Taycan sold to allow 1x MDG.G engined car sale.

Agree, same old story. Going to be limited in first batch then suddenly more will become available.

With regards emissions, my guess is part of the increase in RRP is customers charged indirectly to pay for fines which are incurred by not meeting emissions targets. I know this was the case for GT4 and 992GTS.

My guess would be around 200 cars for UK at the end of production run!

Can someone explain to me why Gentian Blue is £695 on a BGTS while it is £2499 on an RS Spyder ?

Same reason why Guards red was a special order colour on the 2015 and 2016 991.1 GT3 RS but free on all Porsche including GT Porsche before and after.

A couple in our Spyder group have been told similar by OPC's and similar to Twinfan's comments they expect cars to be on a ratio of 4 to 1 GT4RS / Spyder RS and about 1 / 2 cars per OPC. I've nothing more concrete other than I'm not getting one, but it looks as though they will be scarce.

Guards red as a special order colour!

It’s normally a freebie colour like white.

With all due respect, if you believe that you'll believe anything biggrin

Basically a polite but firm 'no chance' in my experience; unfortunately I've spread my Porsche experience across several dealers as I've moved around over the years so haven't build up the rapport to qualify with one

If your dealer thinks they will get three that means they actually will most likely have more.

Anyone actually know how many gt4rs cars dealers are getting, from what I can work out the opc near me has already had 3 delivered, but I may be totally wrong and they may of had more already.

Our OPC have delivered three already when I spoke to my Sales guy last week. They will get more no doubt.
