I'm not sure how it looks from the driver's seat in Boxster, but in a Cayman you can see the top of it in the rear view mirror.

Ah, sounds like in a Cayman you can and in a Boxster you can't. Well, ive never seen mine !

I would appear that the wing is overextending, it’s very visible when driving the car.

couldn't see them oem spoiler in my rear mirror (cayman with lwbs), but it is visible when raised now i've got a gt4 style ducktail fitted

Took the car to my local dealer and it appears I need a new motor. The wing raises and lowers itself therefore I assume the controller is integrated with the motor. Two days work apparently, booked in for the middle of June.
