Very odd logic when at least £10K worth of pork is not worth owning for the cost of a £2 call. I would love the thing even if it did end up becoming a money pit, it is a 928 after all <ducks for cover>
Absolutely, I'd be chuffed to buts to have it, long term you could put it all right and you'd have a GT manual, pretty special I say.

Agreed. I entered, unlikely to win the thing but if I did it would be going to a hugely grateful new owner who has been an active member of the Porsche community for over 13 years. It would definitely end up on track at some point as well but kept fairly original. I would love to see what the thing would look like on the new 17" Fuchs, uber cool I reckon as it would on genuine cup 1's.

If you read what's written elsewhere on PH about that particular car you'll be spending your money on new inner sills as soon as you get it.

That's very true, obviously Berne and his crew can't use a welder.

Not sure that I would enter the competition to win the featured car as there are several areas that would probably need to be looked at before a reliable car would be created. However, 343.2bhp does sound wonderful.
+ 1. A a few more ££'s of work including sorting sills and it's an £18K car

Some more ££'s of renovation including sills and it's an £18K car.

Here's mine, 89' with 129k on the clock, Manual. Pulls like a train & sounds like thunder.
Only selling it as I've got a manual GTS on the way...

Hi currently have a 997c2s but have a hankering for one of these I do love V8. Just trying to sell the 997 and then start looking has to be manual and ideally a 5.0 litre s4 gt would be good I think a gts may just out of reach.
I've mentioned this hankering to a couple of people who've both said I'm going backwards but I don't see it
Any other more informed opinions?

I emailed the owner and it's provisionally sold but it's looks fantastic and owned by an enthusiast with all the bits done. The chap said he would let me know if the sale doesn't happen.
