Hi all,

New to this section of pH (I'm a TVR nut) but have just put down a deposit on a 2004 Porsche cayenne turbo. Looked at a few but really pleased with the one that I found.

Its not actually for me,its for the wife...she said she wanted a 4x4 and doesn't do many miles so seemed like an excellent excuse to get a car I've always fancied but can justify with the mileage I do.

Anyhow, thought I would poke my head in here smile

Superb cars. Amazingly hard wearing interiors and all the faults are fairly easy to rectify if not always cheap !

It' must be the season, picked up a turbo a few weeks ago. In sport mode it shouldn't corner as well as it does and plenty of grunt when it spools up.

Had one for 6 months this year as it was a 'barging' project in my view. I was very keen on a e39 M5 but a Cayenne TT was just so much better value.

A few small faults here and there but all fixable and excellent value for money. My rear main seal was leaking when I bought the car so the price reflected this and I managed to get a garage to complete the repair. Be aware that only one garage were interested as most run a mile. The car used a bit of oil (normal) so keep an eye on that.

However, the fuel costs ended the party and it was sold very easily in a matter of days for more than it cost me. I too thought it would not do many miles but I liked driving it too much.

I would buy another one for sure.
