Reading that thread it would seem "username" paid under £14k for a red Sport with cloth seats and around 100k on it ?
Same car, it was local to me before the Chuckle Brothers got their hands on it and claimed it is the bestest most rarestest car evah!!!!

What would a mint original panel and paint full lightweight CS (colour coded buckets,no sunroof , manual Windows no central locking with M030) In stunning original paint Maritime blue be worth?? It's an original left hand drive car that has done 98,500 miles full detailed history and recently undertaken a 5k refresh to make it perfect.... Currently running on Cup 2's with as new MPSS.. Be interesting to see what the general consensus is... Best colour/options 😎

This is the Sport I got gazumped on a month ago which sold for 14000 GBP. Amazing what a polish, painting the wheels, interior detail, a few stickers and a dealer does to the asking price......

The 968 CS fanbois can throw their tissues away laugh, advertised as a Sport with just a £10k mark up now...

I know, it was advertised as a CS for £28968 then bumped up to £34968 then right down again as a sport into the low 20's not a CS.

What kind of outfit are they?! The mind boggles...

Agree 100%, the CS has only ever made sense of it is a proper non sunroof car with factory options like M030 and M220, thing is cars like that are literary rare as hens teeth.
Sunroof free cars make up a small percentage of Club Sports though Neil. It wasn't an option, although people have since made up that it was.

When Porsche ran out of the BiWs, everyone had to have a sunroof.

This little keeps re-joining PCGB and TIPEC using different names. I had him weighed up years ago, but surely this attempted fraud will show everyone what he is like.

What would it cost to stick an old 2nd hand solid roof skin/headling on a 968, and splash some yellow paint on worn out adjustable Koni's...

The structure is different, so youd need a whole roof. Alright on a competition car but itd kill a road car.

Thought I'd seen projects where the welds were drilled out with a spot weld drill bit and another roof skin fitted straight on.

The metal skin will fit, but it is brazed on, not spot welded. It achieves little though as the structure is different underneath meaning that you can fit a headlining and youd have to fit a 'sunroof' rollcage.

Cant edit from this phone : *can't fit a headlining*.

Surely with no AC it was just a sensible option at the time ??

Just brazed on the 4 corners I thought, not sure why the headlining for the donor roof wouldn't work ?

924s and early 944s were certainly brazed.

The h/l wont fit because the roof is different. Sunroof models have a reinforcing frame. Try fitting a non-sunroof cage into one...

I'm guessing if someone has the nous to remove and refit a roof panel they could also overcome that...

Agree, I find it useful having a sunroof in my CS even if it this makes it 'non perfect' spec to purists.
Mine also has central locking which is handy with the only boot release being on the passenger side, was spec'd with bucket seats which are comfortable and perfect even for road use.

It seems to be forgotten that originally I'm sure an awful lot of CS were bought because they were much cheaper than a coupe rather than the need for lightweight and striped back.
