Can someone check for me in their 970 if the passenger seat backrest goes all the way to 80 degrees? Mine stops at about 30 degrees which is odd. Motor sounds like it comes to a stop intentionally rather than being faulty :/ Thanks!

Your car probably has the factory fitted passenger seat Isofix child seat fixing which stops the seat reclining. Has it on one of my old 911s and had to ask the same question!

How strange to have that on a 4 door car! Do you know if it's possible to have it turned off ? Will have to give the dealership a call I guess.

It's a mechanical stop installed in the seat mechanism; stops the backrest exceeding a safe angle for childseat security - as previous poster said, it's part of the ISOFIX system.

Doesnt help you but the option isn't retrofittable on a Panamera that doesn't have it.
