Porsche 997 battery
Discussion
If anything like the 996 - leave key in ignition so alarm won't go off, and the radio will need a code inputting (if applicable) - if you know it, hardly any hardship. Idle speed and probably fuel mix will self adjust shortly after and the windows won't single-shot open or close till they have been operated fully a few times, and the ignition subsequently switched off.
In short no big deal the only thing I'd care about is the alarm not going off, and having the code for the radio, the rest takes care of itself. I disconnect the battery practically every time I use it - I don't use the car daily.

Ha! Did not know that about the windows.Changed the battery on my 996 recently, and was wondering if I had broken it!
Cheers!
On my 987 there is a known issue with the heated seats - the car forgets that the option is fitted after the battery has been disconnected.
The only way to get them back on is to run the PIWIS handover, a convenient £100 to your OPC unless you have access to your own machine.
I'm not sure if this applies to the 997, but maybe something to think about.
