That's a lot of metal for the money. Might be worth a punt. Is £4700 a big budget for you?

Mine is 2003 car I have owned from new. I'd be expecting at least double that money for mine - but I have service history, every bill it's ever had.

Can you test drive? Check for signs of slipping clutch, and that it runs smoothly. Check the roof opens and shuts perfectly etc. Could be a good gamble but remember this was a 40 - 50K car when new and if things let go the bills will be that of a 40 - 50K car.

Do you know your local Porsche specialist? Around my way it is Northway Porsche (who are excellent). Do what research you can.

It's a great car, mind...

A good deal IF it's a good car.
BTW the odd comma and full stop would make your posts much easier to read wink

You could do a bit of detective work to try and establish where the car has been serviced. If you know the current location, reg and previous owner name, then you could try calling the local OPC and Indy's to see if it exists in their systems. You probably won't get a full history but you could could get dates of service and accompanying mileage. Also, if you have the registration then you could use the online MOT checker.

Not releasing for an inspection might be suspect, depends on the individual and their reasons and situation really. I can't see why you couldn't get a mobile inspection done though. Whereabouts is the car?

Probably because the owner's dead and the family have better st to do than make themselves available to others so have priced it low enough to attract interest knowing they won't make top money for it.
