Also for what it's worth, I got in touch with my local OPC to ask about warranties/
You can get a standalone warranty from Porsche but there is a process..
The limit for applying a warranty is 120k miles / 15 years from the date of first registration.
What we first need to do is a 111 point check at a cost of £299. Anything found to be untoward with the vehicle will then need to be fixed at a cost to yourself before we can apply a warranty as Porsche will only warrant a clean vehicle. Please see warranty costs as follows:
1 Year £1070 + £175 Porsche Assistance (optional)
2 Years £1850 + £285 Porsche Assistance (optional)
3 Years £2750 + £385 Porsche Assistance (optional)
