Looked at loads like that over the years, and i would say the White Supersport Cab i owned was probably one of the tidiest IB's i have ever seen.

As far as IB's are concerned you can polish a turd.
I did the inspection on that car that sent it on its way to Australia.

Btw I prefer the phrase, you can't polish a turd-but you can sprinkle glitter on it!

Have you seen the low mileage SC that is up at slades garage bridey? Nice colour combo & just needs a set of coco mats to finish it off, haven't looked round it but I know it failed to reach the owners reserve on his eBay auction.

Yeah good car that SSE owned it twice and spent many a happy mile in it, would have had it back without an issue, now i have done the speed thing. No corrosion on it anywhere when i owned i knew every nut and cranny on it. Great motor. The guy from Oz emailed me actually asking me about the car. Its a shame its gone over seas like a lot of good IB's including my 5 speed 930.

Yeah was it about the near side rear wing?! I found some filler in there & couldn't figure it out as it was the original panel? Nothing cut in so all I could think of was something had hit it & it'd had an old style welded rod pull out.

Turns out some muppet had fitted an electric aerial back in the day, on a widebody 911!

Did you do the repair on it? It was a new one for me that biggrin

Shane about the oz thing, I had the chance of a 3.2 clubbie a few years back & dithered, I found out that's where that went. Gutted.

Can't remember mate? There were two low mileage examples up at the same time. Think it got up to 19k & he was asking 20 something? There was a thread where we were discussing it on IB.com-it'll be in the IB
on eBay section.

The interior is lush! Brown cloth, how much more retro you want?! There's a scandi guy on IB with the same colour but he's fitted recaro pole positions in the original colour combo & it looks sweet as.

Yes it had an 80's mobile phone aerial in it.....
Paul Stephens sorted when i bought the car first time round.
Yeah total numpty the first owner must have been one of those Yuppie type's with the Red braces i reckon.
All panels were original, used to wear the plate "OBO 110X" O bks! great plate.

Well spotted on the phone aerial job, how did you find out that out then? clap

Hi. This is my brother in laws' 2.7 Carrera, mexico blau and full matching numbers. We bought it in 1996 and all I can say is that MFI throttle body suction is addictive and that's the main reason leading me in buying a 1973 2.4S to supplement the boost of my 1993 964 3.6 Turbo (in the background). No other most recent Porsche provides the same shivering feeling, no matter how powerful is.

no applause needed, I told thang I couldn't figure it out & he said he'd emailed you & you mentioned the aerial hatchet job. Like I said I just thought its been knocked. He was in two minds about the car but I honestly couldn't find much fault with it, lovely thing. A lot of money for a supersport cab, but low miles, original panels (if not paint) & genuinely rare I thought it just made a lot of others look overpriced.

Yeah a lot of money but he was willing to hold on 12 months plus on the market.
Realistically car worth early 20's maybe........
But small audience with it been a Cab and a Supersport and he made a few quid based on what i sold it for!!

very nice. I was offered a black one recently with the duck tail and polished window surrounds but the guy is asking too much money.

Great to read these threads though, looking at those cars from a decade ago that were so overpriced at £18k. biggrin
