The 7"x15" wheels on your car are unique to the 1986 model year. 1987, 1988 and 1989 944s used a 52mm offset wheel, whereas yours shares the series one 944s 23mm offset.
Interestingly, the 1986MY wheels have a 951 part number and the ABS offset 1987> wheels have a 944 part number. The 1986 wheels will fit onto a 1986 Turbo - the cars were developed with 15" 7" wheels and the staggered 7" & 8" 16" wheels were added later by the marketing men.
I expect someone on PH to knowingly tell me this within the next few months...

Got my flatnose out today for the first time in 4 months.
A slow drive avoiding water where possible, to Dave at DSD motorwerks for a few winter jobs
Once the oil was upto 80 deg. I would have loved to open the taps, just a bit, but the traffic on the 6 mile drive to DSD was a 30 mph crawl all the way. Was nice to get in and hear it again after a winter of Berlingo motoring though!
Wow! Really like that, never seen a flat nose 964 (it is a 964 isn't it?) beforeA slow drive avoiding water where possible, to Dave at DSD motorwerks for a few winter jobs

Just waiting for wheels to be finished in Germany.
BBS go at there own pace.Hopefully just a few more weeks
and then thats it,the car itself is finished.
Want to make a splash at Le Mans Classic this year!
Have you got any plans for this year with the 2.8 Steve ?

Cant wait to see it Tony - I bet it looks and sounds bloomin fantastic. The wheels alone must be something else to behold, the amount of time they've taken to be forged in the fires of Mount Doom...
Nothing booked for the orange beastie yet for this year. Maybe the 24 or the classic - still to be decided.

Le Mans Classic is screaming out for your car it would fit right in and you can take it on the track
for ann unforgetable experience. It's a much better event than the 24HR I've done them both for years
and the classic is more laid back with no tts jumping on your car at roundabouts demanding the
driver to fking wheelspin.
Would be lovely to hook up with it again heading down the Mulsanne !!!
