Not actually mine, but parked next to it today and thought WAOW I want the same one!

It's a 911 T from the early 70's.

I believed it was commissioned as the windows were clearly taken out, and the art performed by street/pop artist Blek Le Rat.

I would almost give my RS away for one like that.

Anyone know the story behind this?

On the left hand side, it has a "stencil" with Blek Le Rat signature

Looking good.

Were you redlining that before it was properly warmed up?

Funny how the oil level was right at the top whilst pushing it, mine is generally at the bottom when doing that. It will have a reading when cruising and hot though.

No it was properly warmed up. Not sure where the oil level should be under those circumstances. The engine is only around 1,000 miles beyond a full rebuild if that has any impact.

Just looked like the temp gauge was quite low.

The oil level is meaningless unless you are sat still, until then I think they pretty much do their own thing. Mine can certainly be erratic when on the move.

Guage may be not working correctly then. We'd been out for about 15 minutes at that point...8 or 9 miles.

So getting really OT, I think that's where the oil temp would be on a cool day after 15 mins driving. I don't think that's "properly up to temp". It may well be fine for a blat - not saying that, but I doubt the oil temp was past 60 degrees for example. I wonder how hot it should be?

You're probably right. No idea really. I don't tend to take it to the red line in any event. Just thought it would look good on the video. Probably watched too many episodes of Top Gear!
