Thanks all for your comments. I bought on condition and maintenance history and after a PPI; I ignored the miles but the 3.2 "economy" was very different when I was looking 5-6 years ago and most new owners now seem to be looking for a garage queen as an investment.
I actually managed to get out for an hour's blast this morning and there really is nothing like the sound of a heavy breathing air cooled flat six and a sports exhaust resonating through the cockpit, just pure and raw.

Exactly the same as my car, aren't they lovely? Bought this in 1999, advertised in the local autotrader for £5500, bought on first sight, as it was my first 911 i did not know much about the modal but on checking the chassis number found it to be a 2.4s, but the engine had been changed to an original 2.7rs, it had fibreglass front wings, bonnet, front bumper, rear wings, bumper and spoiler, the interior had a roll cage, it was a bugger to start as the cold start had been removed from the engine, any way here is a photo as bought and one as she looks today.
