They always used, but haven't heard anything good or bad or at all in years. I can remember them being talked up about 4 or 5 years ago and supposedly doing good work.

That does seem very reasonable and extremely good value if it is as described. I would be amazed if it was rust free, but RS911 do have a good reputation.

But these cars can hide some expensive nightmares, take a look at these photos of the restoration job PC Chester are doing pc chester pics. This car was brought for £10K and from some photos doesn't look too bad as it was delivered, it was still shinny, but see what was underneath!!!!
Always interesting to see a full bare-metal resto... what does a job like that cost to do?

We were over there for a visit and they were looking at 300 hours at least, I don't think there would be any change out of £30-£40K

Thanks for outline cost. Wow...that's a lot of love to splash...but 300hrs of attention is never going to be cheap. Difficult on the economics or any man maths calculations to justify so has to be love and a keeper as I imagine you wouldn't get that back (cost of car + resto) on a sale right now?

PC Chester, as most of the OPCs are, are doing it as an exercise to demonstrate that they can do this kind of stuff. Chester are planning on setting up a classic division with this as the center piece.

Although it will be for sale they don't expect to make a profit, unsurprisingly.

If you were doing this to anything other than a pre-impact bumper it would be for the love of it, I don't think you would see your money back any time soon, if ever.

Interestingly they thought the 944 could be next to start going up, but not sure about that it does have a long way to go.

I tried to go and see it on the Wednesday but the guy stopped replying to my emails. Perhaps someone bought it over the phone?
