Hiya Steve! I think you've got the 964 bug for life now. Lovely cars. I've just got back into an SC and I'm waiting on another SC race car so I should be ready for some track action soon - showing you guys with power steering how it's done tongue out

What? Me? 964 bug?...never! hehe Good to hear that you're swapping Porsches mate. One day, when you get to my age, you'll re-discover the need for power steering. wink

Ohhh lovely cars enjoy. I looked at your 964 when it was for sale but ended up buying a guards red c2 in lhd which I wanted. 60k miles too. Having engine build now. Can I be rude and ask if you got the full 30k for your car? it was a top example. cheers

Just treated mine to; the bigger 993 brakes, the stiffer H&R anti roll bars and the RS short shift. Results are luvverly when blasting around the local B roads this weekend. smile

Sorry for the hijack
I've looked at the H&R ARBS for front and back for my C2 993. They are an absolute bargain compared to the OEM ones. What do you make of them? I'm about to replace OE dampers with Koni FSDs with new top mounts and M033 OEM springs . I want modern suspension, but that is not crashy on the quick B roads of the UK, as I don't track it.

My worry is that the H&Rs are ALOT bigger diameter than the originals, something like 20 to 26MM front, 19 up to 24 rear.
I thought these would be way too stiff, did you not find this on your 964, or suffer with under/oversteer issues.?

Nice pics. I get mine 6-8 weeks same colour combo but LHD which I wanted. Also ive always previously been a fan of Tear Drop mirrors but thinking the original Flags may have to stay for a bit longer.
Maybe ill try some snow driving :-)

The 964 H&R ones are 24 mm at the front (same as 964RS) and 26 mm at the rear. Both are on the softer setting at the moment. The car feels a little stiffer than with the previous standard bars (20 at the front and 21 at the back) but I wouldn't describe it as a crashy ride. Although I'm sure that the combination of the KWV3 suspension, polybushed wishbones, RS engine mounts, recaro buckets and now the stiffer bars would make it feel harsh to someone with a standard 964.

The addition of the bars is one of the last things on my long list of mods, most of which have been aimed at improving it for track days. Doing the changes in stages has allowed me to judge the effect of each one. Initial findings for the bars is that the car has a sharper turn in on the road. I'm hoping that this will translate into reduced understeer on the track....should find out the results in a few weeks time at Anglesey Circuit. smile

Cheers - imo red suits 964s, and congrats sure you'll love it. I keep toying with the idea of swapping to aero mirrors, just need to find a set of decent priced 2nd hand ones as they are pricey new. Snow driving was a one off tbh, but I was suprised how well it went!
