Does anyone know how much a 1970 914-6 or 911 would cost when new?

Thanks in anticipation

It was not meant as a Jibe. So please don't take it that way. It's just incredible the amount of information out there if you know were to look

It's okay it wasn't taken that way. It's all about knowing what specific term to put in the search engine to get the answer you're looking for and when I couldn't find it I was sure that I would find someone on here who would know where to look. Thanks again.

£ 5211 in 1970 would be £ 68,307.87 today, using historic price calculator.

A bargain against the price of a 991 then. I'd take two smile

Apparently a 1978 911 turbo Martini cost more than £78,000 when new (that’s around £320,000 by today’s standards.
And a 930 Turbo SE(the flatnose) in real terms would cost more than the latest 911 Turbo S

Great looking through an old mag that I used to buy when I was a kid smile

Apparently, in 1970, homebuyers could expect to pay £4,975 for a house.
The average cost of a UK home is now £254,000.

Source: (quick Googley; The Guardian).

No wonder Porsche's were so rare back then!
