Location might be a factor?

Unit 11 in Warrington. Top class guys especially on the aircooled cars. Why does your engine need a rebuild? IIRC you had a varioram conversion done quite recently?

NineMeister seem to have a good reputation. I know of one 993 who's engine was rebuilt and enlarged by them some years ago now, owners still well pleased (not me!). I recently bought a 996TT which had been looked after by them, when I rang for info. the guy I spoke to seemed very on the ball, accurately recalled the car and owner and offered information that I had not previously had.

I have had great experiences of Redtek - Nick Fulljames is awesome. He has rebuilt a 2.7MFI motor for me that went like stink and has just built a #monster# of a 3.8 for me. Absolutely stunning.

They can, and have, done all that sort of stuff.

A 964RS at 355bhp with cams & Motec? yes

A Singer-alike (before Singer existed, or became well known at least) with a 360bhp 964 engine designed to look "period" (i.e. custom made raw fibreglass "tinware" etc) yes (that engine alone cost over £30k I think, inc custom quick-break loom, ECU etc)

They're not big on website info/menus though, so it's best to call and have a chat about what you want.

Neil Bainbridge

Redtek

Tuthills.

You will always find satisfied customers, but like with most things, someone will have had a bad experience. The same occurs with every specialist so I would not be perturbed.

I had the engine in my '77 3.0 rebuilt by Michael at Sports and Classic in Cheshire with great results. It wasn't in too bad a way when it got to them (other than some shocking work carried out by my local OPC) but it now feels so strong and revvy. It's a real joy to drive once again.

Why?

Re Paul Stephens, I thought he used Autostrasse in Colchester for his mechanical work, along with DSD motorwerks?
