1979 Porsche 930 with 1600 miles from new!
Discussion
I know cars should be driven and enjoyed, especially Porsches, but just look at this time warp 930, a reference point in Porsche history. About as good as it gets!

I know this won't cut the mustard without a pic but a garage called Castle Motors down here in Cornwall has a guards 930 ( LE I think, slatted vents in rear wings) that has delivery mileage only and is sat on a shelf above the reception desk. Crying shame really but must be on of the few time warp cars in existence .

I have a Porsche with original wheels and tyres and the wheel weights stuck on the outside. A good wheel balancer told me that sometimes to optimally balance them they need to go there - you can put them inside for aesthetics but it is not as good if it needs weight out there.
Sure, but it looks really crap on a Fuchs rim and you really wouldn't notice the difference with the wheels balanced with weights on the inside. I've certainly never ever had to resort to sticking weights on the outside of a Fuchs to get a decent balance. If a wheel balancer told me I had to then I'd be looking for someone else to do it. Why compromise aesthetics in this case when you really don't need to?Gassing Station | Porsche Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
