Beautiful crisp sunny day today so took the opportunity for a quick run out, new tyres going on in the morning so a good wash and then tuck it back up in the garage till the next sunny day.

Taken her in for some tender loving care today:

Full major service
Gear box oil change
Brighter bulbs
Upgrade to double spring windscreen wipers with fresh blades
Fix heating (blooming cold without the heating)

Looking fwd to getting her back in a few days!

Yesterday rain kindly washed the salt from the roads for today. So went out for milk the long way today.

The car was tucked up nice and warm in the garage, but I thought it would be rude not to!

Spent 15 mins at 06:15 de-icing the 997 to take the pregnant Mrs 0.9 miles to the local station to discover her train was cancelled so ended doing a 15 mile round-trip to another station and was too afraid to rag the st out of it on the way home as it was showing -4.5c and I was worried about ice. Have parked it on the drive with the windows open in the hope that it won't freeze up again before I go to collect her again later. A true Porsche 911 day that no other car could have done as well.

Went for an early morning New year drive yesterday, nice quiet roads through the Kent countryside, stopped and had a look at some newer Pork as well.

Folded down the rear seats of the 944, filled it with Christmas + Ikea cardboard, headed off to dump.

1/2 mile queue to get in, so turned around and came home. Cardboard bone dry so can sit in the car overnight and I'll be at the dump (sorry, household recycling centre) when it opens tomorrow.

Excitement's my middle name . . .
