I have a Lhd 911 1985 with a very sad leather tombstone,my back is killing me! The passenger seat is lovely and firm and just highlights how bad the driver seat is.

Firstly will a RHD passenger seat fit,the electrics were junked and somebody made the seats work manually.

Secondly any alternative, will a 944 seat fit? Any comfy buckets etc?

Solutions very welcome!

A passenger seat from a RHD car would be ideal for you - will have seen far less use.

Pretty sure 944 and 911 seats of that era are interchangeable - you might just need to swap seat belt buckle receptors as they are possibly different lengths?

Separate PM sent.

Wouldn't that put the tilt levers on the inside?

Hmm... never thought of that..
They're not in it anymore and in storage so cant check , the pax right side piping was well worn like a drivers side one would be , plus thats what Gmund said when I bought it off them ....

Lots of people swap them. Tilt handle goes on inside but still easy to work.

Quite common to swap seat backs passenger to driver. Evens up the wear etc. also, many Porsche seats have tilt levers on both sides.

Proper Tombstones are manual and have a lever on the outside. Later sports seats are partial electric and have two tilt levers per seat back, making the backs interchangeable.

As has been suggested, Id find a PHD passenger seat and use the foams to rebuild your own seat. 944 seats are identical.

If they were electric then I will guess that its a 1986 model year car?
