Gents (& ladies where applicable)

I was wondering if anyonw could point me in the direction of companies that specialise in backdating cars, in particular, making an RSR.
I've found one or two but thought there must be a few out there that I cant find or even someone with experince and recommendations

Cheers Dale

I'd probably start looking at these (sure I've missed one, extra one added, Tuthills):

Early 911 - http://www.early911.co.uk/
Canford Classics - http://www.canfordclassics.co.uk/
Autofarm - http://www.autofarm.co.uk/
R to RSR - http://r-to-rsr.com/
Tuthill Porsche: http://www.tuthillporsche.com/

I would suggest you do your homework thoroughly as I have had experience of a couple of the companies listed and my experiences weren't very good. Undertaking a project build requires quite a diligent approach to spec / budget.

Have you thought about buying an existing car and modifying to your spec? Often better to buy someone else's bills and usually works out cheap / saves the headache unless you are after something very specific.

Have fun doing it!

Yes, I know of people with that experience. It's a strange world - that of old 911s. I have heard tales (direct from people who have experienced them) of others on that list with bad experiences. However I wouldn't try to tell their story as that's how internet exaggeration happens.

I can only tell my own story. Well not on here of course as it's against the rules!

I met Gordon and Paul from 911Rennsport at Carfest South this year and was so impressed with their set up and the RSR they had on display, sold my GT3 and they are currently creating a RS for me at the moment, which I hope to pick up in February next year. Only time will tell whether I have made the right choice.

Karl, I take it from your profile photo you might have a 911Rennsport car.

Will do, as I get them. Summer meet up must be done or a short european foray would be good, next time you must stay longer than a day wink
