Why have 964's grown in popularity?

Hi JNR77
Just seen the car on Brightweels, do you have any thoughts on it?
No, but it might go for sensible money, attend the auction and set your own limit. With regard to the red C4 on Ebay, that price is crazy, makes me think the owners mates might be bidding it up! Just seen the car on Brightweels, do you have any thoughts on it?
I quite fancy one but now just isnt the right time. Values have gone through the roof on all air cooled 911's, boom is usually followed by bust so i can wait till they come back down to sensible money. I couldnt justify paying 997 Gen 2 money for one!

I'm speaking from first hand experience, as I bought a 964 C2 Manual from Brightwells only last year and within 200 miles the engine was leaking oil. Complete engine rebuild was required, costing £1000's. Also required a clutch and various bodywork repairs still on the agenda. All cars are different so I'm not in any way suggesting that the car you are considering will require an engine rebuild.
Just be prepared for any unforeseens!

It does seem a little silly, I agree, particularly considering it has not been possible to view the car, so everyone is bidding blind!I quite fancy one but now just isnt the right time.
