Interesting thread for me... I'm thinking of selling my RHD Black on Black Manual C2 and I guess these ads help me price it...I'm lucky as it's blessed with a bullet proof service history, engine rebuild at 90k and lots of tlc (and money!!) from me to make it good quality with original parts and cup wheels etc etc.... its done 122k but i still guess the £49.5k mark from the above ads. But will it keep going up?............
Regret in yrs to come is my biggest fear if I list it
I don't think anybody can say for certain, but the only reason I can foresee that would crash values is legislation. However, given the low number of 'classics' and the fact that most aren't used much, I don't see them as a target for the government or EU. The focus will be on new cars.Regret in yrs to come is my biggest fear if I list it
I am fairly confident that your 964 will at the very least hold and increase gently.

That black one in your first link looks absolutely stunning with cup wheels and mirrors and correct amber indicators.
I had the same thing, only midnight blue over blue, same as in sports seats, LHD, manual, factory LSD. Why oh why oh why did I sell it (for £20k)?
No garage was the answer. st and bugger.
Both lovely spec cars with factory limited slip diffs. I had the same thing, only midnight blue over blue, same as in sports seats, LHD, manual, factory LSD. Why oh why oh why did I sell it (for £20k)?

Did you buy as an investment? If yes it's always tricky as you will want to roll the money into another investment that you think will do better or same as the 964 going forward. Regret in yrs to come is my biggest fear if I list it
If it was not, and you are getting tired of it and want a change it is easy, just sell it and buy what you want!
If it goes up more in value after you sold it, so what? Just be glad it didn't cost you anything to own it, that in itself is massive. Regretting what could've been is one the most pointless things to spend your time on.
It's far to easy these days as a car/motor enthusiast to get caught up in the whole value thing, that's the curse of cars as appreciating assets!

I bought it as I love them, the investment car game is not for me, just luck that they seem to have gone up. I always hold the view cars are for using. I seem to get bored of cars 18 months into ownership irrelevant of what they are, which is annoying as i'm impulsive so normally act on this. £35k seems a bit cheap to me. I know mileage is a factor but there are so few of these coupes and people love them esp good examples that are manual and not guards red etc etc. Maybe I put it up at high forties and just see what happens, i'm in no rush. Maybe the summer will change my mind also :-). Thanks for the input all

It all depends on the condition of all elements of the car. 122k miles is fine as far as I am concerned, but it reduces its value.£35k seems a bit cheap to me. If its in very good condition, its probably £40-45k.

Indeed, I didn't buy mine as an investment and thought I would never part with it but nine years later I've decided it's time for a change so have just listed it for sale. However it's not 'uber low mileage' like the ones in this thread but that means it's also a lot cheaper. 9e 28 said:
Oh my, that is delish!9e 28 said:
Blimey, I always thought mine was worth mid-40's on a good day since it's been so messed about with but if that sells anywhere near to asking then I'll have to re-evaluate my insurance cover.9e 28 said:
Nice car with decent mods. All the right bits9e 28 said:
18s have no place on a 964. I think I would rather have a battered real RS and use as intended, than a mint replica... what do they go for now?

They do if it has big reds. 17's won't fit! Don't be too precious about authenticity I think I would rather have a battered real RS and use as intended, than a mint replica... what do they go for now?
The big red conversion works extremely well on the 964 as do many other upgrades. It's modern underpinnings allow truly wonderful opportunities without the need for Carlos fandango and his merry men
