Metallic Ocean Blue i believe. Its got a slight metallic purple tint in the light. Probably a bugger to touch up stonechips but its a beautiful colour.
Congratulations. As a fellow dark blue owner you will find it like having a black car. Washes and polishes up lovely but shows the dirt against the deep shine. Even the morning dew can leave a trace as it dries. Worth it though. Personal preference is for silver wheels, too much darkness otherwise and the silver is a great contrast.

Its Ocean, you sure your not talking about MBM? ...... Mines MBM, its IMO a lovely colour, almost black in the sun and a pain with water marks. Ocean is a very late 993 colour, and quite beautiful

I was talking about MBM / Ocean but agree MBM is probably worse.

One thing i did like was seeing every single mot and service invoice. All the emissions data is clean as a whistle. Its got a black leather 3 sooke if i recall porsche steering wheel but the rather garish blue original is included.
Engine was mint from cold not a rattle and drove really well. It is on original oe suspension but didnt feel tired or creaky in any way.
Cant wait to get out driving it! New favourite toy!

Believe it or not, there are some 1998 cars.

I thought it ended in 97. Still fairly late in the run. This week cannot go quickly enough!

Congrats.

Nearly all of the widebodied cars were MY97.

According to PCGB, for the manual 2wd, in the UK there were 42 in 96, 197 in 97 and 12 in 98.

is it worth joining PCGB at all? i dont have time for loads of events but are there any worthwhile discounts etc?
i'm in the Sunbeam Lotus club and Ducati owners clubs for the insurance discount benefits which do save a few quid.

TIPEC or PCGB allow you a 10% discount at the OPC.

But just asking at my 'local' OPC gets me a discount, and I'm not a high volume customer.

You'd be better off saving up for the inevitable suspension refresh hehe

This shows all the PCGB member benefits https://www.porscheclubgb.com/membership/membershi... . From an events point of view it depends on what you like. Depending on where you live the PCGB regional events can be a good place to kick tires and hang out with fellow enthusiasts with a wide range of different cars.

Other clubs such as TIPEC or local owners groups also have events and benefits and as OrangeCurry says you can usually get some discounts by just asking. Some insurance companies seem to want you to be in an owners club and some don't.

Well here she is! Quick picture as it rained soon after. Drives like a dream. Very strong top end pull but have been taking it steady so far.nice weight to steering and lovely gearchange. Rear spoiler motor is a bit loud but nothing you can't live with.
Am in love!

Lovely car. The noisy spoiler will be the bearing - look on the pcar site as procedure on there. Very cheap fix.
