Just wanted to thank everyone and specifically Imran for all the help n advice as I've hopefully got my 993 at last! Not picking up for a week or two but am over the moon. Have hopefully sorted a beautiful 1997 C2S in fantastic condition. Light grey interior with hardback seats and in the rarer blue colour, 6 spd manual.
Impeccable sh and only some very very minor niggles on the inspection report which we've reached agreement on sorting. The previous owner has looked after it so well. 308 quid insurance from classic line after being put onto them again by Imran, all this after he threw me the keys to his 911 Turbo as well for V Max :-)

Chuffed and excited as it drives like a good un. Roll on summer!

Only got one really. Not had time to get more from owner. Hopefully pick it up next weekend.

Needed heat shields sorting on exhaust as corroded away around bolts and fixings. Window switch. Bumpstops are slightly age perished but not concerned as its on original shocks and at some point will need new but fine for now. Very slight weep from timing chain cover but nothing needing attention. Report was v thorough. For an 18 yr old car its absolutely immaculate

Well done. smile

I have a feeling your initial budget for a 993 has been surpassed a little. Enjoy, summers on its way .. Saying that, a 993 is for all weather.

Superb! Stunning coke bottle shape the wide body 993.

Heres a 993 with body colour wheel centres and hardbacks! I prefer the shape of your car without spoilers etc

yep Chris mentioned he was thinking of colour coding or going black on wheels. Personally I'd leave them silver but thats just me. I would colour code the hard backs though. Being a beardo in the making I'd also return the side lights and indicators to ambers! Beautiful car - has to be in the reckoning for best looking 911ever.

That fairly well sums up the current fiscal position lol. Wife was really looking forward to that bathroom as well. Man maths says though you simply cant turn down chance of a private sale ocd clean C2S in the right colour. Wife suprisingly on board as she thinks its beautiful.

Don't think dark blue or black would work on turbo twists. Might be interesting in GT Silver or a subtle shade like Weiss Gold (as seen on the 997 GT2 RS) as it's a good contrast to blue.

It was seeing this car on the 911 forum tbh that did it.

I really like that look. Maybe its personal choice and at least if i tried it i could go back to standard fairly easily as a friend runs a wheel re-finishing place. I assume the turbo type rear deck spoiler would bolt straight on and also be removed easily etc? Not going to jump into doing it but just a thought

Metallic Ocean Blue i believe. Its got a slight metallic purple tint in the light. Probably a bugger to touch up stonechips but its a beautiful colour.

I think it's the same colour on my 996 and with a light undercoat, any scratches show through terribly unfortunately but all said, a fantastic colour which does change in the light.
