Hi Axel,

I think it may have been a car I owned for 7 years....

Does it have carbon front wings?

Regs
Mark

Ok if Its not mine then.

My CTR was Guards Red owned from 2001 - 2007 non chassis no. car...original french owner who had front wings made in Carbon (exact replicas).

Wish I'd kept hold of it!

That sounds like "my" CTR,it had carbon bonnet as well and maybe doors (can't remember exactly the doors) I was second owner, bought it from the Paris Ruf agent, around 1998 it had all CTR mods apart from the gutters remained - is that the one ?

Doesn't no, I always assumed the French guy was from the mainland, the car was always serviced in Paris or Pfaf.

No such luck there, they still adopt this type of pricing policy wink
This is brilliant rofl

Indeed, it really is like that. You'd feel like a right dick paying 10k for a silencer. You could get a custom made, titanium, one off-production for less, gold leafed rofl

If you could get new, wouldn't it be better? More chance of a perfect finish?

Bloody crap way to start new ownership on such a rare car frown

if its one thing Ive come to realise with old porsches, it is that perfect finish is something you can forget about hehe

watch the movies from the factory fitting the doors in the 80s, they are hanging and pulling them like crazy to make em fit!

and dont get me started on RUF, they slapped em together with some filler here and there and jobs`a good`un - its factory finish and this is coming from Meek who have worked on several on them - including CHOPPING off a roof because it was delivered with a sunroof.

This old myth about original cars being picture perfect must die , wasnt just the dagenham factory who left cheese sandwiches under the paint hehe

Shame they demand those prices with shoddy workmanship - bit of a let down.

Things are a lot different these days with the likes of McLaren, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Tesla around, forcing the old guard to up their game ...
