I was offered a LHD 912 in Irish green today. It appears pretty solid etc. What sort of ballpark are 912 nowadays?

Does anyone know what this is, exactly? Obviously bears a lot of resemblance with a Singer, but doesn't have the engine lid script, and that door shut isn't perfect. Does have a 4.0 badge. Just a random backdate/restomod? I've tried a few searches for this particular car, looks like somebody else spotted it in 2018, and there's also a very similar car (if not the same one) in the US, but no information on the car's specification.

The photo is around 18 months old, I'm not sure the registration is now on this particular car, and even if it was; it's perhaps not been registered correctly.

Look like the Singer I saw at Tuthills, September last year.

That's why I want a 993 with a proper Targa top.

Are there any 964 Targa owners out there who want to convert to a... convertible? Using all the parts donated from a 993 convertible.

Thanks, certainly looks to be the same; if at Tuthills as a Singer I'll take that as being genuine.

I added a Singer-style engine spoiler to my 964 targa just as lockdown kicked in. The work is done. But, I haven't yet got to see the car. All I have is a terrible photo from the mechanic.

I cant wait to get the car back.

Porsche 912, 1968:

Irish Grun.

Try to find a nicer one than this gem.

Solex setup is a piece of work.
I guess 50k euros for a very well sorted 912. And rising.

I’d make a cheeky low ball offer...chances are anyone selling a car like that right now needs out. Unless it’s a car you desperately want.

Thanks for that, my photo is from September 2018, now I know what to search for I see a lot of the articles are from earlier this year. I wonder if they've just sat on the release of photos etc or if it didn't have that interior back in 2018.

Maybe it’s changed hands and the new owner has changed the interior ? I think existing cars have tweaks to the spec relatively often when they change hands. There are some amazing interiors in the cars and some that are maybe a little too much.

1968 Porsche 912 in Irish Green:

In my eye the 912 stands as the best looking 911-shape.

Perfect. And with a 90 brake Solex fed 1.6 a great runner.

The colour...

I've know this rather old but handsome 924S probably since 2011, always parked in near Marylebone High St.

This time, it had more dust and dirt though, hopefully the owner is alright.

Ha. I see this every day on my way to the office. It's always looked like the owner had abandoned it.

I have a clean (2.5, LHD) 924S for sale. But this is not the place for an advert isn't it?
