... I would imagine the huge gaps in service history are keeping the price 'low'.
Funny old world isn't it - five to ten years ago that would have been unsellable at anything over 15k GBP with that SH, yet here it is now at 45k GBP.
Would a mint (from an inspection) 993 be sellable these days with no service history. Or is it the quality of the individual car that will determine that ?Funny old world isn't it - five to ten years ago that would have been unsellable at anything over 15k GBP with that SH, yet here it is now at 45k GBP.

N12 - was yours the Iris blue one on the ramp?
I'm hopefully picking mine up this week from JAZ - Steve has sorted the sunroof out, had the Porsche classic radio/satnav/bluetooth unit fitted, 4 new Michelins on refurbed OE Cup 2s, full service etc so should be ready to use and enjoy
great news re: your 993. it could have been mine you saw, there was actually another iris blue 993 there when i dropped mine off last week. the other one had hardbacks and cup 2s I think. Mine has softbacks and turbo-twist wheelsI'm hopefully picking mine up this week from JAZ - Steve has sorted the sunroof out, had the Porsche classic radio/satnav/bluetooth unit fitted, 4 new Michelins on refurbed OE Cup 2s, full service etc so should be ready to use and enjoy

Local car? Show us a pic. I use JAZ and have a Slate Grey 993. Steve is very good. this is the only pic I have at moment, taken at JAZ (without centre caps in place ) - car was London based and Steve has looked after it for a few years now, had some major work done in 2014 - will put more details up when I get hold of the car

Nice - I thought I was the only Slate Grey in the village... Pre-vario I assume? I think for that colour they usually were. Often Press or Porsche company cars. this is the only pic I have at moment, taken at JAZ (without centre caps in place ) - car was London based and Steve has looked after it for a few years now, had some major work done in 2014 - will put more details up when I get hold of the car
yes - its pre vario and fairly basic spec but just love the overall simplistic look of it - very happy after looking all summer, Steve at JAZ said its a good car and they have done all the major work needed in last few years (chassis legs etc) so that was good enough for me - I just wanted to start with a set of new Michelin PS2s rather than P-Zeros, plus the Classic radio makes it very useable for my daily use

N12 - I think that's your car behind mine, on the ramp - (numberplate starts with a 5)
Steve W - just seen your profile 'garage' pic, your car looks identical to mine....

Yep, that's my car behind yours I just spoke to Steve earlier as was um and ar-ing over which suspension setup to go with. Initially they priced for Bilstein HDs but I have now decided to go for Bilstein PSS10 coilovers even though it breaks the bank, as want to get it right first time and will be perfect for road use + growing number of track days in the coming years.Steve W - just seen your profile 'garage' pic, your car looks identical to mine....

Mine's also pre-vario, not quite as much bhp as the variorams but advantage is you get shorter gearing than the varioram cars....lovely at 60 to 70mph-ish on country lanes, you'll be in the sweet spot high in the revs, 2nd gear

i read the linked thread on the DDK forum and am now hooked. The chap has been seriously unlucky. His engine grenaded! and his chassis legs are some of the worst i have seen. They say bad luck comes in threes....http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=2...
