Surely this deserves it's own thread guys? Massive SSE fan but I didn't get one in time. Have you thought of asking Norbert, the daddy of Supersports http://www.turbo-look.com/

I need an answer now.

Right ,just got a returned mail from Norbert in Germany, and the Supersport body shell and turbo body shell are the same

So now we know straight from the horses mouth

Next time you speak to norbert pls ask him if the turbo, SSE, and speedster have their engines mounted slightly further back than the narrow body cars. They've always felt more tail happy to me which sort of defeats the object!

You'd be right if the SSE and turbo body are indeed the same (which personally I thought they were) , If mem serves the turbo had its engine moved even further back in the early to mid Eighties.

I have a reply

No Mike - 100% not. There are no differences to the narrow body cars. Same wheelspace - exactly the same mountingpoints. Perhaps a bit more weight on the rear caused by heavyer wheelcarriers.

I don't share this point of view - ich had both variants and could not recognize this ...
