I think having read your list of modifications you have already done, the next obvious thing would be to trade it in and do the same to a coupe! You could then add good looks to the list of mods. Why do all that to a cabrio
If you're going to track it more I would agree with the above. I once had some pax laps in a 964 cab and felt rather queasy due to all the scuttle and shake. Anyway, it's not a track weapon (although given its age and power you'd be surprised at what it can keep honest!), for that I have a 620R Just trying to make it great on the road and also fun on track when I bring it along.
How about some fettling of the interior ? I am currently having the centre console for my 997 GTS trimmed in leather to match the rest of the interior by these people http://www.designls.co.uk/index.php/19-porsche-int...
I came across them through the 911 UK forum....lots of satisfied customers on there. I was very impressed by the quality of work when I dropped in to have the center console removed...picking it up again in a couple of weeks.

That's a bit odd, was the track very bumpy? I don't recall ever experiencing scuttle shake on track unless hitting a kerb.
No it was Donington. It felt like the whole body was flexing in the corners, especially down Craner Curves. The much softer suspension than my KWV3 equipped coupe wouldn't have helped and nor would not having a steering wheel to hang on to (therefore probably didn't feel as bad to the driver). They weren't particularly quick laps but I still felt a bit green afterwards! boxsey said:

OR upgrade to the coupe as others have suggested! I had a 993 cab before coupe and wanted to do some track work - not content taking a 993 cab out on track with no roll bar protection vs the roof of the coupe, pretty dangerous.

Good idea! Unfortunately I've already had that, see "Tuesday 25th February 2014" entry here: http://www.pistonheads.com/members/showServiceHist...PSS10s were great on track but right on the limits of acceptability on the road IMO even with the 25% softer springs I had :/
I did brakes and suspension end of last year, next up for me will be short-shift kit, goldenrod shifter linkage, and mpl slave cylinder, whilst getting the clutch done. Heard only good things about these mods and what they do to the shift quality.
I'd definitely like to tidy up the interior on mine and get by Wayne's at some point, but will do that with a new clutch in the car.

Wayne's remaps are superb. 15bhp gains generally. Sharper response and less fluffiness generally. You can get him via Facebook he's worth persevering.
After a couple of years of trying on and off, I finally got hold of him the other day Am booked in for about 6 weeks time, very excited 200Plus Club said:
you may find like i did that you are down on power if its varioram. mine wasnt working right, the car was only doing 250bhp top end. i left with 304bhp!
Not varioram, but Wayne has asked me to check a couple of bits before it gets to him. This was my dyno from a couple of years ago at Surrey Rolling Road....Incidentally, according to my local aircooled specialist, in order to comply with TuV / type reqs in Germany, all aircooled (and maybe modern ones as well?) cars had to put out factory quoted power +/- 5% to get approval. So one imagines that if you see a bog standard car that's producing over that +5% figure (esp 20 or so years after it came out of the factory ) that's a good indicator that the rolling road may be a bit optimistic
Juts picked her up from paint and she looks ace Fresh paint on the bumpers and the rest of the car has been machine polished it seems A little corrosion on the chassis legs was found while she was away and also rectified. Heavy clutch was also sorted - damaged pedal box and assistor spring not assisting. Engine mounts were checked and they're sagging a little but not too bad. Recommendation was to replace them with 993 GT2 mounts which are better and actually cheaper than the standard items, so will do that sometime in the next few months.
Ignition, fueling and vacuum systems all checked out fine so all set for remap by Wayne in 3 weeks
Have decided to leave the short shift kit for a while, as I spent a little more than planned getting the other bits and pieces sorted.
Best recent VFM "mod" has got to be the Bosch Aero Twin wiper blades. Twice the price (a massive £20 or so ) compared to regular items, but well worth it.
