Leather adds a lot of weight, if you hold a section of alcantara in one hand and leather in the other the difference is considerable!
Does anyone have the weight for the Radio + Navi system ( I suspect this is heavy)?
This is the one option I am still undecided about.
Alcantara vs Leather will be my toughest decision. Mine will be a very long term keeper, and I just think Alcantara looks really nasty after even only moderate use. It works great for headlining, and therefore should also work for a dash, but on seats and particularly steering wheels (obviously not an option on the Ferrari) it wears really badly. Well it does on Astons anyway!

No Radio or Navi for me.

My CS Alcantara looked OK after 10 years smile I did not leave it out in the sun without a blind, so the dash was not faded like most I have noticed.
Must say I think the door handle Alcantara on Speciale will/could look shabby after time.
Would not want a wheel covered in the stuff for general use, Ok if a track only car as you would wear gloves.

the alcantara does wear a bit but I think with tech fabric the bits that wear are pretty well covered , if that makes sense. on CS the seat is all alcantara so bolster and under your legs gets it most

Is your order with Graypaul or are other dealers doing that too?

I got lifter and satnav/stereo, plus some extra carbon on mine. Also stripe. I'm not worried about the weight. I'm fairly skinny and if I really cared, I'd remove the car cover and owners manual from the boot! I use the lifter every day.

Agree. And also agree about the weight comments. Like anyone would notice.

Have to laugh when the manufacturer goes to extreme lengths to save a gram here and a gram there and then the average owner is 20 Kg overweight.

Fortunately I'm 60Kg wet through and only drive my Sherman tank with the tank half full with petrol

Yeah I sort of agree after cycling with larger guys who would prefer to spend a few thousand £s on carbon parts rather than dropping a few lbs themselves, but then again a fat dude in a light car is still faster than a fat dude in a standard car.....

When is your car due Colin?
My Atelier is October, as shut August and September this year, and not able to fit in a trip this month.

So, going to the factory/ having an appointment with the Atelier - is this any different from the 'spec' room at a dealers? Do they know more; have better facilities; ....? Or is it just that: going to the factory rather the spec room at a dealer?

Thanks.
