some gratuitous pics. 20 years ago I remember looking at a metallic bronze coloured F355 parked incongruously at my local shops for probably half an hour; as a poor musician-and Ferrari nut-I'd never been close to anything like it in my life. One day...
Fast forward 20 years and recently I've been in the enviable position of being able to choose between some nice cars when the time finally comes to take something out for a spin so the opportunities to drive my 355 have been few this year. However today the planets aligned-and the sun was out! And I just felt compelled to say what an awesome car it is, straddling old and new schools perfectly in terms of looks and performance with it's rear buttresses and swimming pool rear window harking back to the Dino and the sound, encouraged by a Capristo, is visceral-and addictive. The targa top wasn't a must-have at the time but I love it now, even accepting the clumsy removal as an enjoyable part of the starting up process; not to mention the open-top motoring with the bonus of the profile being unaffected.
I was quite ill when I bought the car 6 years ago and a friend said I should do it as I may not be in position to it again-mostly from a financial perspective as opposed to possibly dying imminently I think/hope. Definitely one of my better decisions.

'If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.'

The more the merrier ! I will never tire from looking at a F355 although the original plan of being buried in mine has probably gone out the window now with prices rising.
Not to worry the boy has offered to look after it and give me some eco friendly cardboard coffin instead.
Thankfully I've got at least 10 years before he can drive
