Oooooooofffff..... The Scud blitzes the CS but there's no doubt the CS has the truly epic sound track... Scud and Speciale sound also the same.

Whilst sound is an important part of the overall package to a certain extent the soundtrack can be improved by a capristo exhaust, manifolds and cats replacement for example which is a simple bolt on aftermarket modification.

Some of the kids round my way think they are driving a CS cus they have a baked bean can attached at the back.

I think the easy answer is to save up and have all 3 - that way you can't possibly go wrong ! Now let me see if there is a loose £600,000 down the back of the sofa

The CS is a terrific car. The Scud is brutal quick.

But here's my prediction for 2019 and beyond. RHD Speciales will begin their ascent to greatness.

In 2010 social media denounced the creation of the 599 GTO. It was a puffed up GTB, a nonsense calling it a GTO. Only a marketing stunt. Today the 599 GTO is recognised by those who have driven it as a great. Left hookers are coming into the UK and are already 50K GBP above original list. RHD versions are easily 100K GBP on top. 500K GBP for a RHD is in sight already. So much for a puffed up GTB.

The Speciale is three things. It is a truly exceptional, incredible, remarkable drive (read EVOs tests for those who haven't driven a Speciale). It is the last NA V8. And RHD versions while not limited possibly number only 120.

I'm sure all three models will be cherished. But for me like the 599 GTO, the Speciale's time has yet to come.
Absolutely spot on ! Cars like this need to go through a certain timescale before the prices start to increase and the CS and Scud have already done this.
Hmmm not always true.... New GT3 RS likely to bounce 50-100k on launch. What about GT3 4.0. Even the 991 GT3 is up 40k+. People even expecting the Cayman GT4 to bounce 20k+

My comment was per F cars. Honestly, I don't know much about Porsche. Especially the latest bloated examples. And before you off-load my brother-in-law who is a huge Porsche fan doesn't much like any of my "FIAT"s (seriously). Porsche classics pricing also puzzles me. The CGT deserves lmore respect as does the 959, they're iconic cars, but from a marketplace pov versus equivalent F cars, they seem miles apart.

I think the examples of recent Porsche prices are unbelievable at the moment but the last twelve months has seen most cars of any desirability and rarity go up in value. They all have to go through a certain timescale before the values rise whether its an 80's hot hatch or a new Porsche but it can be very difficult to see what is coming.

The Porsche CGT has always been undervalued in my eyes but even that has risen well in the last twelve months.

Is that LHD or are CS prices coming down ? Seems cheap if RHD.

As much as I think Speciale prices will come down, especially with the recently announced extra production, I'm not sure a low mileage regularly used CS will be worth more than the equivalent Speciale.
Ultra low mileage Collector cars will always carry a hefty premium but once cars have 20,000 miles + I think the price stagnates and is always going to be sub £200k
LHD

Only 1 RHD currently visible on the market.

I couldn't agree more actually, I don't understand it either.... Sold my GT3 RS in the summer and brought my CS and couldn't be happier. As a friend of mine pointed out at the time, one is what dreams are made of and the other is still a porker..... : )

I picked up my Speciale today and drove my Scuderia down to collect it.
A sunny day and relatively quiet roads had me doubting my decision to make the swap.
After the drive home those doubts are pretty much gone, what a fan-fking-tastic car.

I know any preference is subjective but the Speciale for me is a definite step up from the Scuderia. It's noticably quicker although at first it doesn't register because it's a bit more polished, and the performance is that much more accesible.
That doesn't mean it's lost the rawness that makes the CS and Scuderia so much fun.

Subjective judgement I know but for me the Speciale is the business. I'm missing my Scuderia a lot less than I thought I would after just one day and just over 100 miles in the Speciale.

Congrats on the Speciale.
Missing my 430 Scuderia a bit TBH but holding out a bit longer before jumping into a Speciale

Thanks, early days I know but I'm very happy and missing my Scuderia less than expected. I had things lined up to keep it but in the end it was time to move it on - I'm not a collector and it wouldn't have got much use which would have been a waste.

I understand the logic in waiting and jumping in after the usual dip when the new model makes the supply of the 'old stuff' increase to move prices down, I usually do the same, but to get the right car this time I don't care. It may be first drive euphoria but I feel like I've got fantastic value for money today.
Unnecessary pic of Speciale with disco wheel option.

Fair play - its always nice to have a brand new car to your exact spec, whereas going the used route may save you some money but its always a compromise unless you are extremely lucky.
I waited 18 months for the right spec F430 F1 spider to come on the market and was looking everyday across the whole country
The right Speciale may be even harder to get hold of used and it may depend on when Ferrari bring out a 488 special.

Get your moneys worth and make good use of it, that's the one thing I regret with the Scuderia - not using it more.

I've bought a new 650S spider as a long term keeper, so mileage is less of an issue and I try to drive it as much as I possibly can now
