I especially like the inside choice very classy. The white is lovely too and the stripes are the right choice imop too.

My car arrived a month early so sits at Egham waiting my return mid may !! Actually arrived at Maranello
as I arrived at Gatwick.

These cars seem to be popular and not oversupplied but who knows about residuals cue GBR 430 or whatever his name is :-)

I think with Speciale there has been a greater range of colour choice and I like all I have seen but I am a coward and gone Rosso Corsa :-)
I don't wish to be rude, however - Why did you have to go rosso corsa and not a colour that you really want?
Congratulations on getting a speciale though! Just think that some should be more individual with their choices of paint wink

Rosso Maranello, Rosso Fiorano, Rosso Fuoco hell even Rosso Scuderia are different to a standard 458, however I understand its a traditionalist spec and understand why you'd choose it. I personally couldnt spend that kind of money on a car and not have it exactly how I want it rather than speccing it for the 2nd owner. Nonetheless you are lucky and wish you all the best with it - better than what i have biggrin
Sincerely, poor student. banghead

Hey PhoenixUK! You got it! Congratulations! Looks fab! Now lets go to Spa! (I'm ignoring what you said to me at Spa! wink)! We'll have to get the Spaz gang together..... I'm sure we'll do it soon!

So - worth the wait?
First Impressions?
The Speciale is awesome around tracks - so let's book a track day - don't have to go crazy - although you should totally!

Congratulations once again - Enjoy!

Once you covered the 600 miles running in period, you should bring the car up to Scotland. Try the Dukes pass and the A93/A939. We are up here at the moment and have now done almost 2000 miles in the Aperta. These cars belong on roads as great as these.
Is 600 miles what was suggested by the dealership or is that what it says in the owners handbook ?

You misunderstand I LOVE rosso corsa and like many other colours just think Ferraris should be RED

I was once a poor student, driving a car older than I was, would exchange my Speciale in the blink of an eye to be back in my 20s instead of my 50s - but at least getting old can have some compensations smile

Read it in the handbook.
In reality , it is for the tyres and brakes to bed in- engines are all bench run.
Car was tracked at 605 mls.
In Scotland at present, car is superb especially on the Dukes pass ans Applecross "rally stages"
This car is sooooooo so Special !!!

At the moment Im struggling like hell in my 3rd and final year of law with no clue what I'm doing. All I seem to want to do is ski and have a ferrari (would be a nice life.. dreaming somewhat).
Everyone seems to say enjoy uni while you're there as you'll be wanting to go back all the time after you've left, I kind of feel a bit useless at the moment - with no clue what I'm doing what jobs to apply for.

To quote my grandad "to grow older is inevitable - to grow up is merely optional" think most people on here seem to be examples of this quite clap

Everyone says the years will fly by but at the moment they drag by with near enough no income. My old car was a clio 1998 bright GOLD 5 door 1.2, had some fun drives in that, drove the nuts off it for 3 solid years, amazing the fun you can have in a low powered car/ had it on 3 wheels on a few occasions by pushing myself a little over the limit round corners eek

Recently upgraded to a ford fiesta zetec s tdci 1.6 (2008) but in hindsight with the way I drive I wish I got the 2L ST petrol frown ... just worried about running costs with no income at the moment. (Stopped working last month) .

Hope you're all well! Id rather have a speciale and be at least a little older (mid to late 20) haha clapbanghead

I've been fortunate to have detailed a number of both the standard 458 and the speciale And the latter is a different animal all together, they are amazing machines.

I take it you may have ordered something if you were doing a tour?
If so are you going to enlighten us?
Speciale?
F12?
FF?
California T? :P
488 possibly?

I got told - just do the 12 service - on the dot - and all is good. Im taking my car in after next track day for a health check as opposed to a service - I've done over 2.5K miles in 5 weeks!

Lovely spec, congrats .. That is similar to one of my configurated preferences.

First time on track today for my Speciale .... Epic just epic, these cars must be driven on track to be truly appreciated.

+1, though its probably true of most supercars. The Speciale feels absolutely in its element on the track. IMO the quick steering rack helps a lot along with minimal body roll. There is prodigious lateral grip. In the faster bends it seemed quite neutral, as opposed to slower corners where understeer popped up first. Perhaps if I had pushed harder I'd have found understeer at higher speeds too? But ... discretion/better part/valour, etc.
