If buying from a Ferrari dealer at what level of wear would expect the dealer to replace the clutch on a 360 or any Ferrari ?

From a main dealer I seem to recall it used to be more than 50 % wear as part of the Ferrari Approved process but now it seems more flexible so a new clutch becomes a negotiating point

Apocryphal but looked at buying a F430 with 60% wear that was at a main dealer and they weren't changing the clutch as part of the prep. All they'd do for me when I highlighted it as a concern was give me a letter stating that they'd replace it in the future at cost price.

The 430 clutches wear at a vastly reduced rate in comparison to earlier models. It has a twin plate clutch and very good software. They run up to 85-90% before giving any kind of issue if set up correctly. At above 60% wear on a 360, the linear clutch wear will accelerate as it is only fitted with a single plate clutch and the control of the clutch actuation by the transmission control unit is no where near as well controlled. A 430 clutch driven over a 50/50 mix of town and motorway driving should last around 50k miles, dependant on driving technique and lack of using the launch facility..

When I bought my car it had done 24k on original clutch. Reached agreement that if it went before 30k I'd pay parts and dealer would contribute labour for free. It went at 28k and the deal was honoured. Seems like a reasonable compromise.

The wear % is not the only thing to consider when looking at the SD report from a TCU - do you have all the other readings?

As Ed says above, 60% is when wear starts to accelerate - I know one or two decent independents that'll change a clutch as part of their prep when it reads 65% or above. If you do buy this car then it'd be wise to budget for a clutch change at some point in the near future.
