Car now sold.

Now for the back story, i took the car to be serviced and chatted to the guy who owned the garage that i may be selling it, he asked how much would you take for it as is, £90k was what i thought it was worth "as is" as it needed a front end paint job, a corrosion blister sorting out on the roof and some other cosmetic work done.

My thoughts were this, the car was nowhere near ready to sell as it was and i would have to try and get the paint work sorted to my very high standards and to be honest i don't think i had the fight in me to get this done, yes i am that fussy on paint!!

After a few low ball offers the trader (someone known to the garage owner) paid the £90k.

My feelings are the car is worth £110k retail so with the cost to prep, advertise, sell the car i think that was a fair deal for both parties.

Could i have got more, yes i think i could. I had a firm offer of £95k from another trader on the table but this was with me getting the paint work done and like i said i did not want to go down that route.

As i said i had one independent guy come and look at the car first with a view of SOR and he said around £60k is what he valued it at !
The trader i sold it to must have sold it to this guy who is now selling it, done around 500 miles since i sold it

I was bang on with the £110k price tag, advert is poor though, can't see him selling it with out a better description

A friend is considering this car. Does it have a ‘story’ to tell?

Yes there is a story !! it was a fantast car when I had it and loved every mile I put on it. Thinking about it I put most of the miles on it life so far. Very low owners, I was the second one I believe.
From what I can see it has not been used since I sold it to a Trader. I always looked after it and over serviced it. I would not hesitate to buy it back if I was in the market for one.

Tell you mate he is welcome to contact me if he has any questions
