Has anyone put a Capristo Stage 1 Race Silencer on a F430?

Wibble ... that Superfast II gearbox on the Scud and 16M is sublime yikes

And the closest F1 sound I've ever heard from a 430 based engine.

You must be tempted by an x-pipe Russell? Is it the lack of a quiet mode that's putting you off?

Ha - the Scuderia Systems video is taken really close to where I live and my journey to and from work every day..

Of all the cars I've owned and own, the F430 was the only one where I loved the exhaust note as standard, it is so deep and angry, the 355 is nice, but its no where near as mean as a 430..

I'd enjoy it as is..

Me too, I love the stock exhaust sound of the F430, that barking is just insane !

Maybe you could replace the OEM manifolds by Capristo ones wink

Would love to get together with others running on non stock exhausts, someone should arrange a major F430 event sometime this year, the point being we can all share first hand the sounds and configurations of all these non OEM exhausts, manifolds and mufflers.

It's well documented that I have just removed my AP manifolds, couldn't live with them, I'm loving being back to full OEM, it's sounds perfect imho, however a friend of mine has replaced the OEM muffler with a Capristo, not sure which one but I've been in it and I can say it wasn't to loud at all, not on the same level as mine was with AP's on.

I would be interested to hear if someone out there is running AP manifolds and the Capristo stage 1 Muffler, theory is that muffler may reduce the AP manifold sound level to something more liveable?

Great idea... make it happen wink

Gotta say, maybe I'd feel differently in a coupe, but in the spider, my stock system sounds absolutely incredible... cant imagine needing a better quality or more noise !

Only thing I could see myself doing realistically is Capristo manifolds.

I'm no authority but I would think AP/Fabspeed/Capristo manifolds would all be similar in increased noise therefore I could not live with Capristo either, I sound like a right old git now but just love the F430 sound as it is biggrin

You're absolutely right - My brother had two F355 GTS's, which I also used to drive and for me, the F355 is the V8 king of sound!! (Reg No: S141 KJB was one, don't know if anyone on here has it now?)

The F430 however, was the right car at the time, on so many other levels, which is why I bought it.... If only it had the F355 sound, it would be the perfect car!
I bought S141 KJB and had it for around 6 years before selling it to someone who lived in Northern Ireland in 2007 for less than £50k.

The buyer told me that the local Ferrari dealer in Ireland said it was the best example of a F355 GTS they had ever seen.

It was a fantastic car and the best of all the Ferraris I have owned and now worth around around £120k

Here it is outside my office a few months before parting with it.
