Looking at sending a damaged wing away for repair to CarbonFibreRepair.com, couple of questions if anyone can help me out.

Why were some wings fitted with the 2 parts in the picture? I have another wing which doesn't have these.

Also noticed 2 different types of end plates for these wings, why different?

I'm pretty sure the end plates with the slots cut out are to stop high speed drag, it allows some os the air to spill out and create vortices that aid in straight line speed ( note, I bought these ones and that's what I can remember from the research I did at the time, I may be wrong)

The extras are re-enforcement - R apparently changed wing supplier a couple of years ago and the way the carbon was laid up on the new ones meant the seam faces forwards... Not ideal as a stone hit in the right place split a few of them at high speed.. So they added these...

Ahhhhhhh, all makes a bit sense, I spoke to repair guy and he said he's fixed a few of these now and exactly what you mentioned, you can see where the spoiler is sandwiched together, thanks thumbup
