That's my xmas present to myself sorted then.

Mrs is always saying I'm a dirty old sod and need a good bath.

I know it isn't from the Ferrari or Lamborghini sanitary collections but has it come out of McLaren's by any chance ? whistle

No trust me it is really called the Performante Coupe,Honest !!!

I am excited about the Huracan Superleggera (not performante coupe - as that's the name for the drop-top?)

BUT, I cannot stand those wheels. I loathe them on the Aventador SV and they are still horrible on this. Not to mention how boring would they be to clean?

Part of the appeal of the Gallardo SL / Performante was those stunning thin-spoked wheels.

Back-end looks awesome.

Here we go

Huracan LP640 Performante
The next Superleggera called the Huracan LP640 Performante is rumored to be introduced at the Geneva 2017 show with US deliveries starting in late Summer. It is confirmed to have the beaten the 918's lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife and is now the fastest production car on the Ring!

According to dealership sources, it will have carbon composite front/rear spoilers with active flaps that give it significantly more down force than a regular Huracan, 4 wheel steering, Apple car play, built-in telemetry system, and an exhaust like a super Trofeo car!

A recently applied trademark suggests that Lamborghini is working on a fourth iteration for the entry-level Huracan supercar. According to Auto Guide, the Italian firm has applied to trademark the Huracan Performante name. Given that the Performance badge has been previously used on a convertible version of the Gallardo Superleggera, Lambo may be planning a similar version of the Huracan.

Already available in coupe and spyder versions, the Huracan has yet to receive the higher performance Superleggera treatment, but the vehicle has been spotted testing as early as 2015. The Superleggera is expected to break cover in late 2016 or early 2017 with an aggressive body kit and a beefed-up V-10 engine rated at more than 630 horsepower (versus the standard 602 horses). The Performante model should arrive with identical specs, but slightly different aerodynamic upgrades.

There’s no word as to when the fourth version of the Huracan might hit showrooms, but given that we have yet to see any test cars as of October 2016, the high-performance roadster is at least 12 months away.

I've been keeping an eye on these, but not much is happening.
Now seems like there are 25+ for sale, with a near £100k asking price spread. Something's got to give, surely?

I'm watching them closely too.
Dealers / owners on SOR are still in denial and now its winter not expecting sales so its batten down the hatches to the spring when they are assuming todays prices will seem better on the seasonal rebound.
3/4 months of interest is not worth them knocking wholesale amounts off the price.
When sales still don't pick up in spring things will start to move but if they don't come Sept 2017 people will start offloading

Cheapest RHD now £280k http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

Not a bad spec and 3k miles so not "too high" by Ferrari standards.

Yeah that's the same one, cat D car when it was previously advertised. Not much moving over £325 whether its 458 Speciale or 675LT for that matter

But you can have this straight one for £290k and prices generally seem to have come down £10k this month alone

As much as I would like one of these I can't bring myself to pay the crazy asking prices.

51 of 123 458's for sale are Specialie's so they really don't seem that rare and lots of them have been up for sale for ages now!!!

I would think any dealers who are into these at £300k plus must be a bit worried?

Any thoughts ?

UK cars shifting now at sub 300k and may possibly fall further. Yes, its partly seasonal but then it's also supply and demand and at this rate numbers could still be very high come the spring.

Are they special ? It's a great car but the scud is the better drive from the trio and currently good value (sic) relative to the rest of the V8 marketplace. Speciale better than CS though.

Interesting reading. As you would expect volumes for sale increased as prices went up and were behind the curve.
Expect them to go above the curve now prices are dropping. That said some people will always advertise for a speculative price not to sell.
Don't know how far a 488 Speciale is away but I think this will be the biggest factor in 2 years time when cars will probably go below list IMHO

Quite a few have been reduced by £10k in December but can't see that being enough to shift them.
Got my eye on a particular car but playing the waiting game. Still has a way to drop before I would pull the trigger and even that would be over list price a year and 6,000 miles on.

Going to be more on market as 488's continue to be delivered

I enquired about this one and you'll find it started its life in Hong Kong.
For a low mileage UK vehicle with no hidden past I cant see much a change in price that people are talking about.

Very nice. That's the only other Speciale I've seen, besides mine, with the central stripe in body colour.
