Mine has the centre in body colour too. Not sure it's quite the same though.

If any Ferrari, never mind a Speciale, isn't special then I think I've got stuck on the wrong planet.

Here's a graph of Speciale prices, and volume advertised, taken from Pistonheads.

Do you manually track that or do you have software that does it?

All manual I'm afraid, and only for the Speciale.

Speciale in the Scottish Highlands. Very special.

Amazing colour!

Can't help think I'd rather be on those roads in a 911R instead though (used prices for those are a different matter again!)

Thanks. It's Tdf.

A 911R would have been sweet. A DB5 in Silver Birch would have been very nice too wink

TDf is the best colour Ferrari have ever done.

Camlet, yours looks almost as nice as your SPA wink

@Juno - not convinced about black wheels on any car, especially on red.

Anthracite is different, Impreza P1, TDf Speciale for example but I do not get this modern black wheel obsession.

Thanks for the reply. I did the same when I bought my Maserati but have since heard about ''crawler' software, I was hoping you'd say you were using that smile

I didn't pay £380k but I didn't pay list. But I own the car I wanted, when I wanted it.

I couldn't bring myself to gamble the time waiting frankly, it's too valuable. I've had two mates drop dead in 2016, in their mid 40s. fk that.

Whether they're worth £380k or not I don't know. I suspect they'll dip a bit now and in the long term they'll exceed £400k being the last n/a v8 but tbh I bought a car. I've got a load of boring stuff for money's sake.

What would the list price be of something like this? Does anyone have the original price list?

No such luck. And I'd bet the crawler software needs manual attention too. Have had some experience processing data from various sources and have never seen a clean data feed yet. They all require time consuming effort to get in usable shape.

I'd bet too.

I'm told much improved tech is coming very soon by some data analytics guys I work with. Can't wait to see its application...no more manual spreadies for you and I smile

Far for me to criticise, but does the Aperta in the same colour scheme kind of make the Speciale redundant? I can't see an eventuality where the Aperta wouldn't do everything the Speciale can, and be a cab when the suns out?

Are they different enough to warrant one of each?

Fair question. My Speciale was delivered July 2014. I was very happy how my specced car looked in the flesh. When I was invited a few months later to spec an SA (an offer you don't pass up) I thought WTF, use the same scheme. I thought of selling the Speciale coupe but it's so good the idea quickly passed.

Is the Aperta different though, having both (colour aside) do they actually feel any different? I suppose my thinking is the Aperta is everything the Speciale is, and you can whip the roof off if necessary for added pose/noise etc,

Are they different? No, not that you'd notice. The Aperta is every bit as sharp. Beautifully agile. Stunning machine. But I am a hardcore coupe person. In the three years I've had my F50 I've not removed the hardtop once. It's a personal thing, I just prefer driving coupes. Don't get wrong, the Aperta in the South of France would be cool. But if you offered me a 599 SA over a 599 GTO, I would choose the GTO without hesitation.
