Are Speciale That Special

I have a question for Speciale owners / drivers. Would be keen to hear someones opinion of the Spec. vs the 991 GT3 RS? Seeing as they are arch rivals does anyone have a fair seat time comparison?
I have both and they are totally different cars. The RS is surgical in its driving where the Speciale is flamboyant and a handful at times. Easier to extract the time from the RSI can only compare it to the 991 GT3 I had previously. As said above the GT3 is more precise and less prone to dance around. Engine is significantly less powerful and the Speciale murders it with the torque and shorter gears.
I find the Speciale more fun to drive because I get to use more gears and there is always push mo matter which one you are in. I often find myself trying to shift up in 7th because it's still pulling hard :-)
The balance of the Speciale is just extraordinary and let's you really dance around which for me makes it much more entertaining to drive, it's just much more lively and wants to go sideways anytime you give it the go ahead.

That sums it up, the Speciale is a great car with near perfect balance and is a dream to drive, the GT3 is a weapon but won't bring a smile to your face like a speciale.I find the Speciale more fun to drive because I get to use more gears and there is always push mo matter which one you are in. Great cars, but I think I'd rather have a 675 LT for less money
for a little more
and for a little more money (admittedly not insignificant), this would be awesome

Can't agree there tbh, the 599, even in gto form is just too big and heavy imo. The speciale is a much nicer car to drive imo. Now 675 or speciale becomes much more of a close run thing though...for a little more

My next car will hopefully be a 458 Challenge with a road registration - still not light-weight, but hopefully still relatively light compared to a road car (esp given the full cage in it)

Love the 458 Speciale's N/A engine but overall still another vote here for the 675LT.especially in spider form where the equivalent 458 Speciale is twice the price at circa £600kfor a little more

Who knows how many Speciales are out there wheras the McLaren is LIMITED to only 500/500 coupe/spider worldwide
I want a speciale badly but there is only so much demand for cars and they can't all be owned by big collectors for ever. Which means some will need to sell and the world economy has been doped up to the eyeballs on cheap debt which as we know can't last forever. When the pista start being offered for 400k + yes the speciale will hold value but when the pistas start calming down then surely the non limited speciale is at risk of dropping. I could see 50/70k coming off the value.

I'm not convinced on either of those fronts. 488 Pista is so hard to get hold of I can foresee a £100k premium and not many on the market. As the last N/A engine from Ferrari the speciale will exceed the market and stay strong.
I think value for money a low mileage 430 Scuderia is a good buy at circa £200k Great car - gearbox and sound are sublime and low production volumes
