33 UK Speciales (just over half of all RHD cars made). Just under 3000 worldwide.

UK Speciale Apertas: about 65 (I'm not 100% sure because there are a few that might have been imports from other RHD markets). I do know how many were made (not 499) but I'm not going to post it here. Sorry.

A lot more Pistas made.
“499” hehe

UK delivered Speciale Aperta is just over 70 though.

Perhaps you have better information than me, but I believe I know all UK RHD cars (68) plus all LHD cars that are or have been registered in the UK (12 in total). So if there were more than 70 UK delivered cars then I'm missing some somehow (not totally impossible!).

Worthy thread resuscitation.

Where are we currently with thoughts on how Speciale the Speciale is?

Some of the predictions in this thread have come true, others not so much.

I’m still dreaming of a £150k Speciale or LT.....maybe next year?
Cheapest LT in the UK is/was not that far off right (I want to say 180 pre negotiation)?

Speciale tough for now, I still think low mileage/collector ones will be worth less than comparable 360 CS and 430 Scuderia in the long run, but no clue at which price level (and might well take 15 years to get there). Cheapest Speciale I can remember was in 2014 or 2015 for c 215k euros with c 15k km on the clock I believe - that was well below list, short while later prices took off and suddenly they all cost 270k plus
Cheapest 675LT was a black one at Manchester, Jan this year (2020), around £184k, quite low spec if I remember. I bought my Chicane grey Club Sport at the same time. Cheapest now I think is £194k, but only 5 couples currently available in the UK, if you discount the carbon series at £519,995. They seem to have bottomed out winter 19/20 at £185k and now settled just a tad higher at around £195-200k. There are only 70 RHD coupes in the Uk and 100 Spyders. An MSO HS sold instantly when it came up for sale last week. If anyone wants an LT I think now is a good time to buy. Don't know much about Speciale's. I have driven a standard 458 and it was a lovely drive. If the Speciale is the same step up from a 650 to 675LT the Speciale must be epic?

LT does represent cracking value in direct comparison to the Speciale esp. considering its lower production, availability and stonking performance.
I thought there was an orange one this year for 180k, might be wrong though (or might have been wishful thinking ...) - I don’t follow the, closely, more like idle dreaming from time to time. No way I would buy a Speciale over one (it is not like modern V8 Ferraris sound all that good anyway)

Think that was Mr JWW's basic high mileage car.
To think on average 458 speciales are £70k more is insane but thats the prancing horse premium for a lesser overall car IMHO.

You pays your money and take your choice but a 458 speciale would not know which way a 675LT went

neither would it care.

both are great cars and almost all 458 spec owners have a lot of respect for the 675lt as a drivers car.

I think it applies both ways as both are enthusiasts cars whi really appreciate a great steer

Why don’t you just do a password reset on your RamboLambo account if you’ve forgotten it?

Might well be, I think it was all painted - which I prefer. I don’t mind basic spec (apart from seats) as it doesn’t change how the car drives and “high” mileage is fine by me as I usually add 20k km in the first year to my cars, so no point in paying a premium for low miles. Alas wasn’t in the market for one, but it did seem well priced to me (would have happily bought RHD at current FX rates)

Edit: and I think the Speciale is a great car, I just think I’d rather try the McLaren given its attributes

I was thinking the same just this morning.

Crikey did I really start this thread in 2016

I've been looking at them daily non stop ever since.

Luckily I got a GT3RS WP allocation so the readiness to buy the Spec dried up

I always thought it would be my ultimate car especially being NA.The funny thing now is looking at the numbers I think I would be more inclined to go Pista instead of the Spec

Turbos seem to be becoming accepted and not as detrimental as they once were

Well with regards to turbos, it is probably more a question of what you like. They have always had their fans - I loved my GT2 for example. There are certainly more around than in the past, which to me makes the few non Turbo new car options all the more special (Ferrari V12, Lamborghinis and of course the RS)

Agree the Pista looks increasingly attractive against the overpriced and ageing Speciale.

Parity pricing likely by next year imo.

Yes I get you,I’m a foot in both NA and Turbo camps at the mo,would I swap the GT3RS for a 2RS,yes I guess so now whereas not so much in the past

Hence probably preferring Pista over Spec with Pista looking like they are heading towards £250k territory

With that car being a 2019 with only a 1000 miles I've no idea why any others are marked up at more than 280K,those at 300k plus are simply laughable with most of them being up for sale for ages

It will be interesting seeing where it goes.
Until the monitory policy accross the west changes then my guess is speciales and other limited cars won't head too far south.
If it hits 250k it still looks good value. Agree with others having been in a pista, it's beginning to look like good value.
