Dilema 360 CS or 430 Scud
Discussion
My two pennies worth...
I longed for a CS for many a year, finally got in to a position to buy a couple of years back and went to see a couple of cars. They say don't meet your hero, wrong in this case as I loved the car but couldn't find the right example. Then out of curiosity went and drove a Scud. I now own a Scud and even though I still adore the CS I wouldn't sell my Scud to get in to one.

To add...
Putting tech and the drive to one side. Looks wise, personally I do think the CS is a prettier car and the Scud looks more menacing - like it wants to bite your hand off.
Both cars are something very special no doubt - enjoy your decision making / journey (don't rush it, it's half the fun )

Thanks
By the way hows the carbon bits in your Scud engine bay ?
Do they all go milky ?
Is there a fix other than replacing all 5 parts ?
Again thanks
Mine are perfect, I hear they can go milky and the (preventative) fix is to make sure you have all the heat shields in place and in good condition. I also run a remote exhaust valve on my standard system and (as it sounds amazing - £550 part, don't even bother with aftermarket systems) I do a fair amount of my miles with the valves open. I'd assume this keeps the hear down as the rear silencer is being bypassed.By the way hows the carbon bits in your Scud engine bay ?

It sounds like you buy the best example you can find, of either the Strad or Scud, whichever comes up first!
I have the Strad, but have never driven the Scud. I went for what I thought was a better looking, better sounding, rarer car, that was taken offline to build and had a blueprinted engine.
I enjoy the extra challenge the F1 box brings. I have given up buying cars for performance figures alone, as unless you're on a track, the extra performance just limits the time you can accelerate!

Milky carbon in these cars is common, a lot of heat builds up in the engine bay and the carbon clouds up. They can be refurbished quite easily just get some swirl remover and a machine polisher. As to service history it's the norm in Europe for them that be serviced on millage rather than annually, a cs would be ideally serviced with belts done every 3-4 years as the belts can dry out and crack. Get a ppi done to know what your buying, hidden paint, damage, repair, parts replaced etc build a picture of the cars history and understanding of its current condition.
A dealer will always sugar coat it as its their duty to sell the car for the owner as that's how they get paid, buy on condition and you'll not be disappointed in either car.

to be fair this is the conclusion I have come to in the argument for the amount of use and miles its more about the smiles, just like the 550 the CS if chosen will not be doing big runs just short runs to savour and blow away the blues, capable though the 550 is I never push her quite happy just enjoying the atmosphere of being in it with the 'open gate' and aromas.
I largely suspect from all the input most CS owners now use them as a shot in the arm and ears ! for short squirts ?
I have a more modern toy for quick stuff to keep the 650 S's in sight.
interesting re Stripe very conflicting info out there Ferrarichat seems to concur its a sticker / transfer that has been lacquered over.
Same with handling. Lower limits mean you enjoy limits more of the time.

It is not painted. It is a sticker with lacquer on top.
Correct, Ferrari part number 67749200: TRICOLOUR STRIPEHad both...sold both and ended up buying a CS again (I was actually debating against a 997.2GT3RS rather)
