Of course push them for the best possible deal but if that's the one you want and you can afford it then get it done.
I agree with this. You may save a little and end up with another car which isn't exactly what you want. Despite all the talk here, especially with a "normal" Ferrari, they are no investments really and if you pay a little more for the exact car you want will you care in a year's time? You will if you are still looking as I found out buying a 458. PGNSagaris said:
Agree fully. The extra discount is a nice to have but I'd rather the car I want.
Discussions ongoing as not had time to visit this week...seems a little more discount could be forthcoming though !
Would be interested to know what discount you got off the original price if and when you commit to purchase.Discussions ongoing as not had time to visit this week...seems a little more discount could be forthcoming though !

£5k should be possible I would have thought.
Don't get me wrong, many cars will sell with huge margins across them but most at this level certainly don't, depending on how they acquired the car (Purchase/PX/SOR), how long its been in stock etc etc.Not uncommon for a car like this to have around £10k across it, take out the VAT, the cost of a warranty (they pay the manufacturer only a few hundred pounds less than you or I would pay the dealer), now you have about £6k profit left before any additional prep, due service or negotiation is considered.....
Thats not to say they wouldn't sell something for little/no profit if it benefitted them to move it on and replace it with something else.
Of course they may have £15k across it for all I know, but I do know the above is a very typical example of potential profit per unit on this type of used stock, I'm obviously talking production models so excluding the classic and limited.
They only have to pinch the odd F40 or Enzo here and there to bring up the overall average massively!

Bugger. Someone put a deposit down yesterday morning....I just haven't had the time to visit this week.
The search continues...
That's bad luck given it has been for sale for a while. It was first listed for sale in late July at £99k; then reduced to £97k at the end of August; to £95k at the end of September; to £92k at the end of October; to £89k in November then to £87k.The search continues...

I went to view a 458 yesterday and although it wasn't exactly what I was looking for I asked the salesman their best price and his response was we could knock a few hundred off the price!
Wow, a few hundred thousand off the price doesn't sound so bad but only goes to prove they are overpriced in the first place Beni997 said:

Like I said, and I have been that soldier, if you find "the one" you should buy it. If you can get a few quid off or some extra whatever, then fine. In a year's time you won't regret it whereas you will regret six months searching when you could be driving. Even if the residual value collapses, which doesn't seem all that likely (but hey you lot voted for Brexit so who knows), unless you are buying as an investment, you won't regret it because everything else will collapse too. If you are buying as an investment then I have some Saharan igloo futures you may be interested in. The search continues...
Don't worry, another owne will turn up, and it's a good time of year to be buying.
I had wanted a Cali since they were released - ticked all the boxes for me. Had a 430 for a while, but got the Cali end of summer - love it. Dont worry about those that say, ' its really a Maser ', it isn't!
Love it, and without being biased, I do have to say it really is underated. Its a very capable car, with benefit of rear seats, and folding roof. Awesome gearbox too!
Good luck on the search.

I think a Cali is about as far from an investment as there is, in Ferrari land. Also, let me know when you're selling the futures on them fancy new igloo things...I'm shorting!
