Now the problem is the 'boss women' doesn't really like the 488 and all that goes with Ferrari.......I think she fears ....it might cure my balding, middle age, overweight looks....
Don't buy a red one then. 458 / 488 both look much better in TDF blue, black or grey with a tan interior, and are much less clichéd than 'standard' red.
Seriously? A tan interior? Do you smoke a pipe?

Red, black interior, carbon seats, red stitching, carbon trim. Perfection.

Nice!

Not sure how it's "trying too hard" to do the "cliched" red Ferrari? How can it be trying too hard to do the traditional Italian colour allocated to Italian racing teams over half a century ago by the FIA? Surely trying too hard constitutes trying to stand out by going for.......a none red Ferrari.

What should we be embarrassed about such that we should feel the need to hide away or blend in? People look at my cars, I smile, stop, let them sit in it, talk cars, everyone's happy. Who doesn't like a bright red supercar, or an orange one, opal fruit green? Celebrate, enjoy, have fun, don't hide and apologise. Life's too short.

What colour combo did you go for on yours?

As it is, whilst TdF is quite nice, the interior you refer to is bloody awful. This car is available to buy now by the way. I couldn't spend 2 weeks touring Europe in that, I would be sick. That might improve the interior actually. :-) However, my point was that red and black is super duper.
It's a good job we're all different isn't it thumbup

Colour is an emotive and personal thing, my comment was in response to the earlier suggestion that his missus may not want a Ferrari, so the suggestion was to go with a less clichéd colour to get over such a comment. Red being the normal default colour on a Ferrari for both all the genuine reasons you put, and for all the wrong reasons associated with Ferrari such as the ghastly red Ferrari logo'd tat sold on every street market and all the dullards you see walking around car events in matching red shoes, trousers, shirts and hat yuck

I'm not adverse to a bright sports car (I had a bright orange TVR Tuscan 'vert for 9 years) but would just feel a bit of a plum driving a red Ferrari. I have looked at a TdF Blue California with Tan like your picture and thought it was a beautiful combination but can't get comfortable with the rear lines, but something like this would be my perfect colour combination:-

Been all over Europe many times in my 458 Spider, Ferries, chunnel, city hotel car parks. Never needed lift. Got it on my F12 (Oh it has a huge bonnet you'll need it on the F12), only just got that but I've been into London and parked in the most awkward Soho hotel car park ever devised, didn't need lift.

I wouldn't worry about it.

My first 458 had it - never used it, so subsequent new cars not added. It's an expensive option as the headlight upgrade has also to be included. Worked out at over £4K.

I think the best spec and value is the red one at HRO. £225k.
16/16 low miles, Goldrake seats.

Looks good value - what's it missing ?

HRO always seem to price their cars much cheaper than other dealers do! That's a lovely soex car for the money!
