scud @ 180 is still good value imo
I would agree, I must admit my question was loaded to a certain extent to gauge opinion after having been told a great car I have at the lower end of the mentioned spectrum was not.
in many years time, performance figures will be less of a consideration, and collectors will buy on scarcity. the CS is the most rare and on many many years time will be the most valuable of the three.

Based on that, surely a 348 GTC would be the one to go for?

Somehow many discussions on pistonheads seem to deteriorate towards which car might be the best investment as opposed to the best car to own
Am starting to wonder about what we will have to talk bout once normal life resumes and cars will lose a lot of money again ....aD from today's levels that might actually be painful

355 Challenge imo, rare, good looking, manual If you are in it for the money - don't see why a much rarer car with a manual should be valued lower than a CS. Also eligible for Ferrari challenge track days and the likes

I don't think discussing a cars value is deterioration, I think it's a material consideration when deciding what to buy. Isn't it natural that when spending hard earned cash, we ask ourself what represents the best value for our available spend and future cash flow. So price/value/cost of running is the offset to which is the best car to drive/to be seen in/ to juggle family and fun etc etc

And I agree on the 348 and 355 challenge put forward, and in the future, I am sure the market will catch on to their rarity.

Just a quick update on my original post of which to go for between certain models. I mentioned I did a deal on a 512 TR a couple of weeks ago, and now pleased to have found a lovely 328 pre ABS model. Looking forward to getting both cars. :-)
Thanks for all the advice and opinions on some of the choices.

Fantastic!

My dream set up would be a RHD pre-ABS 328GTS for the UK (smaller car for the UK's roads) and a LHD Testarossa for epic, cross-continental jaunts.

Thanks uncanny MitchT. The 512 TR I've bought is LHD, and the 328 is GTS UK RHD with 16k miles.
