Interesting, although not a main dealer car very similar price. I'm quite struck by the 2 year Ferrari warranty that comes with the one I've seen and the level of prep I think you get from Ferrari.
Is that reasonable or have I been taken in by the coffee and ambience? (and Testerossa + F40 to look at...)
I think Ferrari definitely gives a little comfort and at that price point I would prefer to buy from an official dealer. Is that reasonable or have I been taken in by the coffee and ambience? (and Testerossa + F40 to look at...)
On the other hand when I had to repair my parking sensor shortly after purchase, I had to pay for it as not covered by warranty, when my battery was identified as an issue for electronic issues - again I paid (300ish Euros and 700ish Euros) .... and then it still did not work properly, so I gave up on it.
So used car is used car to a degree. Ah and I had to pay for my 2nd year of warranty.
Ferrari did invite me to test drive and presentation of the GTC4 Lusso twice (in nice hotel in a ski resorts, so pretty sweet - I could not make it unfortunately)
The THBoler car has sold. The main dealer car I has too many miles unless you aren't going to use it or are never going to sell it. They have had it for sale for a long time; if a dealer with 2yr warranty is struggling then expect to take quite a bath on it if you need/want to sell it one day and expect it to take a very long time.

Regards that pricing history, many thanks first of all, superb how stuff is known to the collective about unusual cars.
I'm really puzzled though. A friend in France sold his Scud middle of last year for 180k EU, I don't know the details but on the face of it was the same as this one apart from 2/3rds of the mileage.
How come this one seems stuck?
Regarding the spot -- crikey it's a small world! Were you the guy rocking up in that 458? I had a cheeky little look over that as we left, they're off the chart beautiful. Had a fun drive back to Buxton -- my partner had to empty out her handbag in readiness for the result of all that cornering and braking. What's with the average speed cameras? Fast through the corners, slow along the straights, I'm sure not what they had in mind!
It is a small world I was in the Cayenne across the road and got blocked in by a 458.Had been shopping in the town and just popped up to have a look around next door as i've ordered a Macan for the wife as a surprise for her birthday.I'm really puzzled though. There are some really good roads over Buxton way but not been over there for a while.I'm back up there tomorrow as its time to drop the Speciale off for its service so its on the trailer ready to go.
The scuds are superb and the right one will come along if the mileage on that one is a bit high as previously posted.

I'm definitely a long term owner, 10 years in the GT2 so resale might not be an issue, although granted if a dealer is struggling I certainly will should I need to dispose of it. I seem to be sub 2k PA BTW.griff7 said:

This ^^I've owned my Scud for nearly three years now and love it to bits. Came from a 997 GT3 after a run of previous Ferraris and nothing really comes close in terms of sense of occasion and drama. Plus it's light and has 510 bhp it's no slouch either even by modern standards. What I love about it is that you can be crawling at 15 mph and still have a big grin, or pin it and have a bigger one.
One thing I would advise getting is a remote valve switch for the standard exhaust (the Capristo unit works well at circa £500). Then you can have the valves open all the time or for when the wife gets in the car and you want a bit more civility, close them.
I did for a very brief moment think whether I should swap it for a 458 but after going in a mates decided not to. Stunning car as it is it just isn't raw enough...
Only car I'd consider swapping it for would be a Speciale.
Enjoy the journey and good luck.

How do you find dealing with LHD in the UK? Can understand its great on the continent or on track...I've owned my Scud for nearly three years now and love it to bits. Also did you take your scud to the concours at stapleford park last year?

Personally I never find it an issue, added bonus is there is nonever of the slight pedal offset you get in the RHD due to the big wheel arches.
Just have to choose your moments a bit more carefully when overtaking and as you say proves to be a real bonus in Euro land where I do many of my miles.
I was indeed at the annual FOC concourse, came second in class to a stunning 599 GTO - great event...

Ah! Thought I recognised the car - I had a brief chat with you about your car at the concours (I didn't even notice it was LHD at the time oddly - until you went to leave!).Personally I never find it an issue, added bonus is there is nonever of the slight pedal offset you get in the RHD due to the big wheel arches.

I can imagine for Euro honing its perfect - offset in RHD can't be anywhere near as the back twister you get in a Gallordo? :P
Not like you need long to get past most cars in the uk anyway - and if you have a passenger I guess you're ok for spotting an overtaking opportunity!

It's a weird market. Very few cars are coming on the market. The same cars have been up for sale for months and months and aren't selling. Vendors won't move on price. Stalemate. Looking like importing from Europe is making more sense as time moves on ...
A lot of these special editions cars are now at a "stand off" with buyers not prepared to pay silly prices and sellers not prepared to take reasonable offers, hence some cars still advertised 12 months down the line.Something has got to give but the dealers are prepared to stand firm on the basis that they are rare and if someone wants one bad enough they will pay the price regardless
