Thanks all.

I made two enquires about 2 cars yesterday that have been advertised for some time, both between £350k and £360k.

I explained my view on the market and that I believed the market was overpriced… long story short… I said my budget was £300k and that I was waiting for the market to hopefully come back down… I had a call back in 2 hours saying the owner of the £360k car would be open to £310k… thanks Maura for the nudge on this.

When I now compare this to the CC car… the CC car is looking very expensive, as it is at £285k (inc CC fees) already, with:
- No PPF
- No lift
- Missed service
- Discrepancy on the log book / owner
- The same car was advertised with Philip Ireland for a year, and was removed 2 months ago, and is now on CC

Can someone provide some insight into this, as I am relatively new to CC… what is a general reason for advertising a car at £350k for a year, taking it down, and then advertising it on CC… would it not be better to drop the price to £325k and walk away with £320k instead of risking a sale on CC? I genuinely don’t want to speak negative towards the car or owner, as I’m sure it’s fine, but the buyer owns all the risk on CC, and I feel something is not adding up, and it seems other bidders are struggling to get information from the buyer. If someone buys a Speciale, surely they know their car inside out and don’t have to go off and check if their own Speciale has PPF or not?

All of the above, make the car and risk far too expensive now…
I think you've answered your own questions?

If you go to see a £360k car at a dealer, to pay that, you'd want PPF, no stripe damage, lift, no discrepancy on the V5 etc etc. So, as it's not a perfect car and has sat on SOR for a year, CC allows the car to be moved on and buyers can bid what they think that car is worth, given the issues that make it imperfect.......

The car went for £326,000 (£319,000 + Fees).

2 people went hard at it over £300,000... interesting to see... is this where the market is, or did 2 people just really want that spec? :-)

If the new owner is reading... I wish you the very best of luck with the car... absolute stunning spec, congratulations.

That is a very good result for the seller.
I suspect a few more speciales are likely to appear on CC now!

Only takes 2 to get carried away I guess .

Madness when you read on here you can buy one via a dealer ( no doubt the car is SOR) for 310

Madness indeed. One of the worse Speciale deals out there. Paul you have all your answers, go get that low mileage dealer one at £310 you negotiated on. GL

Did you spot this one? I somehow missed it, weird colour! But it'll be interesting to see what it goes for

Colour isn't the best but subjective.

At this point doesn't look like it'll get close to 300k

I think 277k was a great result for the seller. They should really be selling at that imo.

Clearly now with close to 30 for sale and little to no interest shows 350 - 400k is just too much !

I'm in the market for one, but not sure when to go for it.
They're not selling; all the ones I've been tracking haven't sold.

How low do they go? This is the question; they were around £270k forever before they shot up.

I remember clearly they were around £270k in 2021 as I almost bought one.
However, in todays money is £320k

However, most cars have dropped from their 2021 peak, but the speciale isn't a normal car.
