IMHO currently a good buy is around £310k. Whether or not you get someone to agree to selling at £310K is another story.

I’d be interested in a high mile LHD example

I love them but 300+ is way out of my budget. I still remember the LHD white car that was £219,995 in lockdown!

Yep, I'm still watching the market, nothing much selling, nothing much coming up.

I spoke to a few dealers, no one willing to take a "silly" offer around £320k so I am hanging fire and seeing what happens.

There's a couple around the 325/330 mark but not in Red .

What's your criteria?

Red or grey, under 8k miles, some sort of stripe.
Ideally PPF from new as any damage to the stripe can be expensive.
Lower miles the better as I want to use it.

I shall wait, things will come up/drop more I suspect.

Wouldn't be caught dead driving one with a non-factory stripe, imagine what all the people standing round at Salon Prive would think, the horror!

At least you wouldn't have to worry about a potential ££££ bill for having the stripe re-hand painted should it get damaged.

The one at Bramley is nice, but more than I want to spend, I'm struggling to man maths more then about £320k given I could of bought one a few years ago for £270k frown

Looks to be a professional job done, correct colours , it also being under the ppf .. I wonder if you could really notice the difference or feel it ?? compared to factory painted under the clear coat. It’s definitely priced at a factory stripe point though

Yea, there's a good chance they'll keep dropping, there's been around 30 for sale for ages and hardly any are shifting.
Interest rates have taken out most of the people who bought them on finance, so it's a lot of money to pay for something that might suddenly drop.

Long time lurker on these threads.

I'm a Ferrari owner so I watch what sells and what's advertised.

Seems very clear that these cars selling is all about price and colour.

Red cars under 10k miles sell at north of 300k but as per sold prices on Collecting Cars other colours with less than 10k miles sell in the mid £280's

Surely dealers/private sellers see these sold prices. What makes them think their non red cars with north of 10k miles will achieve £330k.

Admittedly not everyone watches Collecting Cars but they still stand little chance of selling.

3000 cars world wide isn't much however having nearly 30 for sale on AT should be telling these owners something.

If I wanted one of these cars it'd be Red and 6/7k miles.

that one is pricey .... 499 is not "that" rare

https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id...

it looks like in Germany Speciales are more in the high-300s to 400s and a lot seem to have higher mileage than in the UK

IS the 499 number global or a region?
If it is global I'd say 499 is incredibly rare.......

it is global, but so is the 448 of the 550 Barchetta (and those are individually numbered) - last manual V12 convertible (coming to think of it last V12 convertible, given the others were more like targas apart from that US edition they only built a handful of) and available for less than half the price. they also built 499 16m cars, which are also available for less than half the price if you prefer a V8. Seems expensive to me.

It is the Speciale, it commands a massive premium and is considered peak Ferrari, so both coupe and Aperta are bound to have big premiums over other models such as 430 Scud/360 and 488 etc.

I'm hearing of another non red Spaciale about to be consigned to Collecting Cars.

As we enter better weather it'll be interesting to see where this car sells.

Maybe the owners of non red cars with north of 10k miles will be watching with interest.

My feeling with these cars is that if you don't sell them in spring/early summer then you're likely stuck with the car for another year.

My gut feeling is Speciale buyers are not seasonal, it is the kind of buyer who has a spec in mind and a price target, they are simply waiting for that car to come along, whether it be Summer or Winter, also as these cars are rarely ever driven and just parked why would time of year have an impactful.

Your typical run of the mill 458/488 Spider agreed demand increasing in Summer months.

But one of special limited run editions, that are hero cars with big demand dependent on spec will sell anytime of year, it just has to be right car for right buyer and that buyer has the money year round, just takes their dream car to come along.

I hope the values do dip sub 300k again, I'd be very tempted by one with some miles as my intention would be to drive it and I firmly believe in the long run as in 2030 onwards that the Speciale will be worth considerably more than its currently peaked at but in the short term I can see them dropping more.

With 296's around 200k there is maybe a point where a buyer who is not a collector decides the newer car is a bargain, has warranty and is cheaper and maybe goes that direction.

I would hold out for a Speciale except I want to drive it. Hence 296GTS. Depreciation sucked up - drive as much as I want. I'd hate to have a Speciale in the garage on 8,000 miles and be afraid to hit the catastrophic 10,000 miles value cliff so have to dole out special drives to myself and count the miles. If I could afford to have one and something else I would do it now.
